KJV- missing verses in PERversions-

The Written ‘WORD of God’ for the English Speaking People Today has been corrupted in the form of the new ages bibles, such as the NKJV, HNIV, NASB, RSV, ESV, NLT and more.

Jesus said, SATAN COMETH … and TAKETH AWAY ‘THE WORD’… sown in their hearts.”(Mark 4:15 (KJV)

Satan does this because he knows;

John 6:63 (KJV) “It is the spirit that quickeneth (lives life); the flesh profiteth nothing: The Words That I (Jesus) Speak Unto You, They Are SPIRIT, And They Are LIFE.

Perversions of God’s Precious Written Word are Nothing New. Consider Israel of old.

Jeremiah 5:31 (KJV) The prophets (of Israel) prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

Jeremiah 23:36 (KJV) ...ye have PERVERTED THE WORDS OF THE LIVING GOD

2 Cor 2:17 (KJV) For we (Paul, Barnabas, Silas, Timothy, etc.) are not as manywhich CORRUPT the Word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ

Most pastors and Christians today ignorantly consider the ‘modern Bible translations’ they use as being “harmless,” but they’re not.

There has been a concerted effort to corrupt“the word of God.” Satan seeks a “universal new age Bible” to be the basis for unifying all religions into a one-world religion, under a one-world governmental religion to be led by the coming false messiah, the Anti-Christ, one possessed by Satan himself. Thus Jesus Christ and His cross-work must be minimized, so Satan’s bibles are adjusted to diminish the pure Gospel of Christ.

You might ask; how can you say that?

If you simply compare the modern new age translations carefully with the Authorized King James Bible (the KJV), verse for verse, you will see that there is a concerted effort to diminish the place and singularity of Jesus as “the Son of God,” and His blood shed “for the sins of the world.”

Consider that ‘The New King James Bible Version’ has 100,000 changes from the KJV.It omits “hell” 22 times, “blood” 23 times, “repent” 44 times, “heaven” 50 times, “God” 51 times, “Lord” 66 times, and “devils,” “damnation,” and “JEHOVAH,” are completely omitted

Most all modern translations (NIV, ESV, NASB, AMP, RSV, Living Bible, et al) have been similarly corrupted because they are most allderived from the same “new” corrupted Greek text that was assembled by these two men, Westcott & Hort.

These men drew their “new” Greek text from the disputed Alexandrian text and Latin Vulgate. A group of so-called “scholars” in Alexandria, Egypt thought they could do better than the KJV’s Textus Receptus manuscripts. When they made their copies, they made “corrections” that they thought better presented what the Scriptures should say. Some of their errors were gross blunders such as quoting Malachi 3:1 in Mark 1:2 and calling it from Isaiah). But other ‘errors” are more subtle; slight word changes to take away the deity of ChristThey’ve removed whole verses they didn’t like.

The fact is that the KJV’s based upon the ‘Textus Receptus’ is the Greek text that has been used by Christians for nearly 2,000 years. Over 99% of the 5,200 existing Greek New Testament manuscripts are in agreement with the text of the English Authorized King James Version of 1611.

Yet, the ‘Alexandrian text’ has recently become the most influential in the so-called modern, critical editions of the Greek New Testament, achieving widespread acceptance in the Greek text of Westcott & Hort (1881), culminating in the United Bible Society Nestle-Aland 27th edition of the New Testament. The Catholic RSV of 1965 and NSRV of 1981 are based on the “second hand” Latin Vulgate Text.

Consider that;

“Brooke Foss Westcott (1825-1903) and Fenton John Anthony Hort (1828-1892) have been highly controversial figures in biblical history. On one side, their supporters have heralded them as great men of God, having greatly advanced the search for the original Greek text. On the other side, their opponents have leveled charges of heresy, infidelity, apostasy, and many others, claiming that they are guilty of WREAKING GREAT DAMAGE ON THE TRUE TEXT OF SCRIPTURE.”

Consider these Quotes from Westcott/Hort:

Concerning the Deity of Christ:

"He (Jesus) never speaks of Himself directly as God, but the aim of His revelation was to lead men to see God in Him." (Westcott, The Gospel According to St. John, p. 297).
"(John) does not expressly affirm the identification of the Word with Jesus Christ." (Westcott, Ibid., p. 16).

Concerning the Scriptures:

"I reject the infallibility of Holy Scriptures overwhelmingly." (Westcott, The Life and Letters of Brook Foss Westcott, Vol. I, p.207).
"Our Bible as well as our Faith is a mere compromise." (Westcott, On the Canon of the New Testament, p. vii).
"Evangelicals seem to me perverted…There are, I fear, still more serious differences between us on the subject of authority, especially the authority of the Bible." (Hort, The Life and Letters of Fenton John Anthony Hort, Vol. I, p.400)

Concerning Hell:

"(Hell is) not the place of punishment of the guilty, (it is) the common abode of departed spirits. (Westcott, Historic Faith, pp.77-78).

"We have no sure knowledge of future punishment, and the word eternal has a far higher meaning." (Hort, Life and Letters, Vol. I, p.149).

Concerning Creation:

"No one now, I suppose, holds that the first three chapters of Genesis, for example, give a literal history. I could never understand how anyone reading them with open eyes could think they did." (Westcott, cited from Which Bible?, p. 191).

"But the book which has most engaged me is Darwin. Whatever may be thought of it, it is a book that one is proud to be contemporary with..... My feeling is strong that the theory is unanswerable." (Hort, cited from Which Bible?, p. 189)

Concerning the Atonement:

"I think I mentioned to you before Campbell's book on the Atonement, which is invaluable as far as it goes; but unluckily he knows nothing except Protestant theology." (Hort, Life and Letters, Vol. I, p. 322)

"The popular doctrine of substitution is an immoral and material counterfeit...nothing can be more unscriptural than the the limiting of Christ's bearing our sins and sufferings to His death; but indeed that is only one aspect of an almost universal heresy." (Hort to Westcott, Life and Letters, Vol. I, p. 430)

"I confess I have no repugnance to the primitive doctrine of a ransom paid to Satan. I can see no other possible form in which the doctrine of a ransom is at all tenable;anything is better than the doctrine of a ransom to the father." (Hort, The First Epistle of St. Peter 1:1-2:17, p. 77).

Concerning Man:

"It is of course true that we can only know God through human forms, but then I think the whole Bible echoes the language of Genesis 1:27 and so assures us that human forms are divine forms." (Hort to Westcott, August 14, 1860)

"Protestants (must) unlearn the crazy horror of the idea of Priesthood."  (Hort, Life and Letters, Volume II, pp. 49-51)

Concerning Roman Catholicism:

"I wish I could see to what forgotten truth Mariolatry (the worship of the Virgin Mary) bears witness." (Westcott, Ibid. )

"I have been persuaded for many years that Mary-Worship and Jesus-Worship have very much in common." (Hort, Life and Letters, Volume II, pp. 49-51)

"The pure Romanish view seems to be nearer, and more likely to lead to the truth than the Evangelical." (Hort, Life and Letters, Vol. I, p. 77)

"I agree with you in thinking it a pity that Maurice verbally repudiates purgatory . . . the idea of purgation, cleansing by fire, seems to me inseparable from what the Bible teaches us of the Divine chastisements."  (Hort, Life and Letters, Vol. II, pp. 336,337)

Concerning the Cumulative Effect of Multiple Changes to the Manuscripts:

"It is quite impossible to judge the value of what appear to be trifling alterations merely by reading them one after another. Taken together, they have often important bearings which few would think of at first. . . The difference between a picture, say of Raffaelle, and a feeble copy of it is made up of a number of trivial differences. . . We have successfully resisted being warned off dangerous ground, where the needs of revision required that it should not be shirked. . . It is, one can hardly doubt, the beginning of a new period in Church history. So far the angry objectors have reason for their astonishment." (Hort, Life and Letters, Vol. I, pp. 138,139)

Westcott believed in and attempted to practice a form of Communism… Westcott & Hort believed it possible to communicate with the dead and made many attempts to do just that through a society which they organized, called “The Ghostly Guild.”Westcott accepted and promoted prayers for and to the deadNecromancy, which is communion with the dead, is forbidden in Deuteronomy 18:10-11 There shall not befound among you any one that ... (is a) consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a NECROMANCERHort was a proponent of Darwin and his theory of evolution. These two men are the main source of today’s modern Bibles – NIV, NASB, ESV, Living Bible, et al!

This below a list of Bible verses by which you can check to see IF YOUR BIBLE HAS BEEN CORRUPTED or NOT. Note the verses taken from the King James Authorized Version (KJV)compared with the New Age Bibles – the NIV, NASB, ESV, etc.

Who Is Mark Quoting Here In The 1st PartOf Mark 1:2?

Mark 1:2 (KJV) “As it is WRITTEN IN THE PROPHETS, Behold, I send my messenger…”

Below are two typical of the corrupted new age Bible translations, having gross inaccuracies.

Mark 1:2 (NIV) It is written in ISAIAHthe prophet: “I will send my messenger ahead of you…

Mark 1:2 (NASB) As it is written in ISAIAH the prophet: Behold, I send My messenger …

FLAT OUT ERROR! Mark 1:2 is quoting the prophet Malachi 3:1 – NOT ISAIAH at all.

Malachi 3:1 (KJV) Behold, I WILL SEND MY MESSENGER, and he shall prepare the way before me…

This above is only one of hundreds of major conflicts between the KJV and New Age translations.

AS YOU WILL SEE IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE ALL THE VERSES WITH ALL THE CORRECT WORDS and THEIR WORDING

Who killed Goliath? We know David killed Goliath, per Isaiah 21:9 below. Let’s now Compare Bible Versions.

2 Samuel 21:19 (KJV) And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew THE BROTHER of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

But the New Age Bible Versions say something different!

2 Samuel 21:19 (NIV, NASB, etc) In another battle with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver’s rod.

Check for yourself - is Satan’s name“Lucifer” (Isa. 14:12 KJV) in your Bible? It’s Not found in NIV, NASB, ESV, AMP, RSV, etc.

Now, are these complete KJV Verses In Your Bibles? They are NOT found in the NIV, NLT, ESV, NET Bibles.

Matthew 17:21 (KJV) Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Mark 9:44, 46, 48 (KJV) Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched

Acts 8:37 (KJV) And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD.

1 John 5:7 (KJV) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (This is an attack on the Triune Godhead!)

Who is Jesus’ real father? We know Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit from Matt. 1:20.

Luke 2:33 (KJV) And Joseph and his mothermarvelled at those things which were spoken of him (Jesus).

Note above that Joseph is correctly NOT called Jesus’ father in the KJV… but note below that Joseph is referred to as “the child’s father in your corrupted Bibles, see below.

Luke 2:33 (NIV, NASB, etcThe child’sFATHER and mother marveled at what was said about him.

This is an attack on the truth that Jesus is “the Son of God,” who was ‘conceived of the Holy Spirit,’ NOT of Joseph, His adoptive father.

GodCreated All Things By Jesus Christ” is Misstated in the NIV, NASB, etc. (Compare below)

Ephesians 3:9 (KJV) And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, Who Created All Things By Jesus Christ:

Ephesians 3:9 (NIV) and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things

Is Jesus “the Alpha and Omega, first & Last”!  Its Missing in the NIV, NASB, etc. (Compare below)

Revelation 1:11 (KJV) …‘I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:’ and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

Revelation 1:11 (NIV, NASB, etc) which said: “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.”

Note what is missing (above). Yet another attack on the Son of God as the eternal God!

DOES GOD’S “WORD” MATTER? God’s Name is “above ALL blessing and praise.” (Compare) below)

Nehemiah 9:5b (KJV) … Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious NAMEWHICH “IS” EXALTED ABOVE ALL blessing and praise.

Nehemiah 9:5 (NIV) …Stand up and praise the Lord your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting.” “Blessed be your glorious name, and “MAY IT BEexalted above all blessing and praise.

Yet, God has placed His WORD above His NAME! (Compare below).

Psalm 138:1-2 (KJV) I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified THY WORD ABOVE ALL THY NAME.

Psalms 138:1-2 (NIV, NASB., etc) I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; before the “gods” I will sing your praise. I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your Name AND your Word

THE “WORD of GOD” is PERFECT

There is a big difference between God's preserved words and man's perverted words.

Old Testament

God preserved the words of the Old Testament by the Levitical priests, who faithfully copied them through the centuries. The best manuscript, used by the King James Bible, was the Ben Chayyim, also called the "Bomberg Text." This faithful Rabbinic Old Testament, used for the King James Bible, was rejected by the NKJV committee in favor of a Vatican-published text.

New Testament

God preserved the words of the New Testament by His faithful Christian disciples, from Antioch of Syria (Acts 11:26) to the Vaudois people of the French Alps about AD 120. From the 150s on they passed this Old Latin Bible (called "Common Bible" or "Vulgate") throughout Europe and the British Isles. The Vaudois people were regarded by the Protestants and Baptists as "pre-Reformers," passing down the gospel message till the Reformation of the 1500s. Their Bibles, as well as others translated from them, were so accurate they were included in translating the King James Bible. The NKJV committee unwisely used none of these Bibles.

The Preserved vs. the Perverted "Vulgate"

Please remember: the Old Latin Vulgate of the Vaudois is not the same as the later

Roman Catholic Latin Vulgate. The Vaudois Vulgate is the preserved words of God in Old Latin that was used to bring the gospel throughout Europe. The Roman Catholic Vulgate is completely different. It wrongly diluted God's words with the perverted Alexandrian Greek Old Testament, Apocrypha and New Testament. Modern "scholars" falsely declare there's only one Latin Vulgate. But there are two: the preserved (Vaudois) and the perverted (Roman Catholic).

A Mixture of Perversion

The New King James Version is not a true King James Bible. It is a mixture of some true King James accuracy, mixed in with a lot of Alexandrian and "new version" errors. We know this because the NKJV tells us which Bible texts they used when they compiled their Bible. Don't be fooled by the clever names and symbols. Here is what each text they used really is:

The Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, or BHS. This is not the preserved Hebrew Old Testament. This one is approved by the Vatican (Roman Catholic institution) and printed jointly by the Vatican and Protestant Bible societies. In 1937 the "scholars" rejected the preserved Ben Chayyim it for an "older" (but not more accurate) text: the Leningrad Ms B 19a (also called the "Ben Asher text"). The BHS states:

"...it is a welcome sign of the times that it was published jointly in 1971 by the Wurttemburg Bible Society, Stuttgart, and the Pontifical Biblical Institute, Rome...."
--Prolegomena, p. XII

The Septuagint, or LXX. As you have seen elsewhere, the so-called "Septuagint" is a fable. It is actually a post-Christian Greek Old Testament. But there are manySeptuagints, since each Alexandrian Old Testament is different from every other. Know what they are? Sinaiticus, Vaticanus and Alexandrinus. These are the same codices (big books) where the modern perverted New Testaments come from!

The Latin Vulgate. This is not the preserved Vaudois Christian, Old Latin Vulgate. The NKJV "scholars" consulted the perverted, Roman Catholic Latin Vulgate.

The Dead Sea Scrolls, or DSS. It is clear through Scripture that God preserved His words through the tribe of Levi (Deuteronomy 17:18, 31:9-13, 25-26, Nehemiah 8 and Malachi 2:7). The Qumran community that produced the DSS are never said to be Levites. But though God says "the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth" (Malachi 2:7), the NKJV committee instead consulted the DSS as well.

Be carefull with names like The Majority Text, or MT. Make sure it is the right majority! With a name like Majority Text it should be a compilation of the majority of Greek New Testament manuscripts. But it is not. The "Majority Text" is actually a hand-picked set of manuscripts grouped together by "pro-Alexandrian" liberal Hermann von Soden. Less than 8% of the over 5,000 Greek manuscripts were compared to each other by von Soden!

But the NKJV people give the MT great prominence, writing this inaccurate information in the footnotes. So people think that the King James is wrong, since it disagrees with "the Majority Text." Who cares? The "Majority Text" is not the majority of texts! The "Majority Text" is a big fake. Don't believe it. And don't trust any Bible that does.

If It Looks Like a Duck and Talks Like a Duck

There is another side to the New King James that reveals its ugly alliances. Take a look at these examples:

The NIV perverts the deity of Jesus Christ!

The clearest verse in the Bible proclaiming that Jesus Christ was God  in the flesh is found in I Timothy 3:16: The King James Bible (KJB) reads, "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH. . ." The King James Bible says, plainly, "GOD was manifest in the flesh".

The NIV version reads, "HE appeared in a body". The NIV  "twists" "GOD" to "HE". "HE appeared in a body"?  Everyone has "appeared in a body"!  This verse perverts the truth concerning the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Now let us look at another verse that has been perverted.

The King James Bible again, clearly declares the deity of Jesus Christ:  Philippians 2:6; "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery TO BE EQUAL WITH GOD"

The NIV reads, "Who, being in very nature God, DID NOT CONSIDER EQUALITY WITH GOD something to be grasped,".  Again, the NIV perverts the deity of Jesus Christ!

The NIV perverts the Virgin Birth!

The King James Bible reads, "And JOSEPH and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him."  Luke 2:33.

The NIV reads, "The CHILD'S FATHER and mother marveled at what was said about him."  The "CHILD'S FATHER"?  Was Joseph Jesus' father?  NO, a thousand times NO!!!  The NIV perverts the Virgin Birth.  Jesus was conceived by the Holy Ghost, therefore, GOD was His Father.  Jesus had no earthly father.  The Devil has always fought the Virgin Birth.  The NIV is another tool he is using to lure the minds of men away from the truth.

Each generation gets farther and farther away from God.  The younger generations are more susceptible to falling into the deceptive hands of Satan.  Many years ago, our forefathers would not have allowed the NIV to be printed, much less read from our pulpits and allowed to warp the minds of our children.  The NIV perverts the Virgin Birth.

The NIV removes the Blood of Jesus Christ!

The King James Bible reads, "In whom we have redemption THROUGH HIS BLOOD, even the forgiveness of sins:" Colossians 1:14.

The NIV reads, "In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." This perversion (NIV) rips out the precious words "THROUGH HIS BLOOD"! Friend, redemption is ONLY "THROUGH HIS BLOOD".  Hebrews 9:22, reads, ". . . without shedding of BLOOD is no remission." That old song says, "What can wash away my sins?   NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS!"  Satan’s bible, the NIV, rips out the Blood of Christ.  Many song books have already taken out the blood. With the blood taken out of the song books, the perverted bibles, and the pulpit, no wonder our nation is so violent and wicked. Our Hope is in the BLOOD OF CHRIST.  The NIV perverts the Blood of Christ.

 The NIV perverts John 3:16

The King James Bible says in John 3:16:  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

The NIV perversion reads, "For God so loved the world that he gave his ONE AND ONLY SON, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life".  Jesus was NOT "the one and only son". Adam is called the "son of God" in Luke 3:38, there are "sons of God" in Job 1:6 and Christians are called "sons of God" in Phil 2:15 and in I John 3:2.  Jesus was the "ONLY BEGOTTEN SON"!  By removing the critical word "BEGOTTEN", the NIV perverts John 3:16.  The NIV does the same thing (takes out the word Begotten) in John 1:14, John 1:18, and John 3:18.  Check it out for yourself……..

 The NIV and sexual perversion!

The King James Bible reads in Romans 1:26-27: "FOR THIS CAUSE God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, . . ."

In the past few years homosexuality and sexual perversion have "exploded" into the mainstream. Legislation is now pending making same-sex marriages legal.  Books have been written promoting homosexuality in our schools. According to The Washington Post, “bisexuality” and “homosexuality”, are the "in thing" in our public schools.  Even churches are now welcoming homosexuals, as having “alternate life styles”, into their congregations and even giving them leadership positions. Many are even ordaining them into the ministry!  Could it be that bible perversions have helped to influence this?  I say, most definitely.  Read on….

A literary critic on the NIV translation was homosexual author Dr. Virginia Mollenkott.  In the Episcopal Witness (June 1991, pp. 20-23), she admits, "My lesbianism has ALWAYS been a part of me. . ." To no surprise then, the word "sodomite" is completely removed from the NIV.  Check out these scriptures in the NIV and compare them to the King James Bible. (Deut. 23:17, I Kings 14:24, 15:12, 22:46, II Kings 23:7) And of course, I Corinthians. 6:9, "...effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. " is replaced with "...nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders. . ." Notice the NIV in I Corinthians. 6:9 does NOT condemn "homosexuals" or the "act of homosexuality", but ONLY "homosexual OFFENDERS". What do you think about that?

The NIV removes and perverts the place of hell!

The word "hell" occurs 31 times in the Old Testament in the King James Bible. In the Old Testament of the NIV it occurs - ZERO! The word "hell" is NOT in the Old Testament of the NIV at all!

And what do they do with the word "hell"? The King James reads in Psalms 9:17:, "The wicked shall be turned into HELL. . ."  The NIV, reads, "The wicked return to the GRAVE. . ." We ALL "return to the GRAVE"!  No wonder the NIV is the choice of many cults who teach there is no hell or that hell is the grave.

In the New Testament the NIV zaps out "hell" 9 times. And what "clearer" "easier to understand" word does the NIV "update" hell with?  Five times they use “HADES“!  (Matt 16:18, Rev 1:18, 6:8, 20:13,14) What "common person" understands HADES? Everybody knows what HELL is!  And this perversion is supposed to be better to understand?

Now notice what the real Bible, The King James Bible says:

Deuteronomy 4:2, "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."

Proverbs 30:6, "Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar."

Revelation 22:18-19, "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

And Jesus Christ, in Luke 8:12, gives a clear aim of Satan, ". . . then cometh the devil, and TAKETH AWAY the word . ."

The NIV completely "TAKES OUT" 17 verses!

The NIV perversion completely "TAKES OUT" the following verses: Matthew 17:21, 18:11, 23:14,    Mark 7:16, 9:44, 9:46, 11:26, 15:28, Luke 17:36, 23:17, John 5:4, Acts 8:37, 15:34, 24:7, 28:29, Romans 16:24 and 1 John 5:7!  Take your NIV perversion and try to find these verses, then look them up in the King James Bible and you will see that these are very important verses.  Better still we will list them for you.  You will not find them in the NIV perversion.

"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of      earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt KEEP them, O LORD, thou shalt PRESERVE them from this generation FOR EVER."  Psalms 12:6, 7.

The NIV also removes words along with the “thee”, “thou”, “thou shalt nots” for a grand total of over 63,000 omissions.  Here are a few of them:

“Christ” is removed 25 times, “Lord” removed 350 times, “Jesus” removed over 290 times, “God” removed 460 times, “Godhead” removed 3 times, “Lucifer” removed the one time it is mentioned and refers to him as a star of the morning, the same as Christ is described in Revelation, “Devil or Demons” removed 80 times, “Hell” removed 40 times, “Heaven” removed 160 times, “Damned” (or a variation) removed 15 times, “Blood” removed 41 times, “Salvation” removed 42 times, "The Word of God" removed 8 times, "The Word of the Lord" removed 24 times, and "The Lord Jesus Christ" is removed 24 times.

Not only does the NIV perversion omit verses, portions of verses, and many words, but it also changes the meaning of some verses.

The King James Bible reads in John 14:2:  "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”  The NIV reads:  “In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.”

I don’t know where you came from but where I came from there is a vast difference between a room and a mansion.  The Holiday Inn has rooms, and I am certainly not going to live in a motel throughout eternity.  So you see how the pure Word Of God is perverted by the NIV.

We hope we have given you something to think about. Please don't be deceived, check it out for yourself. These are all factual representations of the underlying problems facing Christianity. We have only one true Bible. It's the only one attacked daily by the liberal leaders and flesh mongers of the false religions of the world. It is the King James Bible.

Quite often this writer is asked his opinion of the New International Version.  This version’s popularity seems to increase each year to the point of rivaling the King James Bible. But in this writer’s judgment, the NIV is one of the worst versions.  THE NIV IS A PERVERSION.

There are three important factors that should be considered when choosing a reliable version:

(1) The Greek text from which it is translated;

(2) The translators who translated it; and

(3) The translation itself.

There are two Greek texts from which versions are translated. There is the text called, the Received Text (or the Majority Text) from which the King James has been translated.

Then there is the Westcott and Hort Greek text which was first presented to the world in 1870. It relies heavily on two manuscripts which are very ancient but are filled with mistakes, contradictions, and omissions. Most of the modern versions including the NIV are translated from this Greek text.

The translators of the NIV came from some ten or more religious groups and, unfortunately, they did not leave their religious doctrines and prejudices at home when they went to the work of translation. There are many loosely translated passages, and when this is the case, it means the translators have left the words the Lord gave and have sought to clarify their meanings by interpreting them as they understand them.

As long as the Devil can keep the people of God confused about the Word of God, the more souls he can doom for hell.  As long as the saints of God continue to argue over the pure Word of God the better he likes it.  Anything to avert our attention from those going to hell pleases Satan.

The King James Bible is the preserved Word of God for English speaking people.  It has won more souls and changed more lives than any other Bible that has ever been published. We don’t need new translations or new versions so-called, we need to use the one God has given us, THE KING JAMES BIBLE.

I’m sure you know that NIV was published by Zondervan but is now OWNED by Harper Collins, who also publishes the Satanic Bible and The Joy of Gay Sex.
The NIV has now removed 64,575 words from the Bible including Jehovah, Calvary, Holy Ghost and omnipotent to name but a few…
The NIV and ESV and other versions have also now removed 45 complete verses. Most of us have the Bible on our devices and phones.

Try and find these scriptures in NIV or ESV on your computer, phone or device right now if you are in doubt:
Matthew 17:2118:1123:14Mark 7:169:449:46Luke 17:3623:17John 5:4Acts 8:37
…you will not believe your eyes.
Let’s not forget what the Lord Jesus said in John 10:10 (King James Version)
THE SOLUTION
If you must use the NIV or ESV
BUY and KEEP AN EARLIER VERSION OF the BIBLE. A Hard Copy cannot be updated. All these changes occur when they ask you to update the app. On your phone or laptop etc. Buy and KEEP EARLIER VERSIONS AND STORE THEM.
There is a crusade geared towards altering the Bible as we know it; NIV and many more versions are affected.

While one cannot deny the affiliation between Zondervan and Harper Collins, there is not a “crusade geared towards altering the Bible”. I guess I should say, there is not a crusade towards altering the Bible that Crossway’s ESV and the original NIV are part of. So why the missing verses on your app or in your Bible?

Simple. Every one of these “missing verses” were not part of the original manuscripts.

Consider Matthew 17:21 for example. You will notice in your ESV a little note which says, “some manuscripts insert verse 21: But this kind never comes out except by prayer and fasting”. If you read this in a KJV you’ll notice it simply says, “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting”. No footnotes or anything. So what gives?

In 1881 Westcott and Hort published a Greek New Testament using numerous ancient manuscripts which were not available to the original translators of the KJV—way back in 1611. When we discovered these ancient manuscripts we see that in a few places they didn’t square up with the existing manuscripts. In some places—like Matthew 17:21—the text was omitted in the older manuscript. When you run into one of these differences it is called a textual variant.

When you encounter one of these textual variants the interpreter/translator has to attempt to figure out why there is a difference in the text. And so why would newer manuscripts have Matthew 17:21 but older manuscripts not? Which would should we trust more?

Look at Mark 9:29 (even in your ESV and NIV Bibles) and you will notice a verse that sounds very similar to what was omitted in Matthew 17:21. Now is it possible that a copyists would have inserted material from Mark 9:29 to make it square with Matthew 17:21? Absolutely. In fact we find that this was actually a somewhat common practice.

So what most likely happened is that a well-meaning copyist somewhere along the way put Mark 9:29 here at Matthew 17:21 to get the two gospels to square up. And his error here was copied and copied and copied from that point forward. And so we conclude that Matthew 17:21 was quite likely not part of the original text. In order to be accurate to the original you won’t find it in your ESV Bible.

There is no plot to undermine the word of God. These are very conservative scholars that are doing the work of textual criticism to help us have the most accurate translation of the Bible as possible. And lest anyone think, with all this talk of textual variants, that your Bible cannot be trusted heed these words of David Alan Black:

“No biblical doctrine would go unsupported if a favorite reading was abandoned in favor of a more valid variant…a doctrine that is affected by textual variation will always be adequately supported by other passages.”

Rather than causing us to lose confidence in the reliability of Scripture the work of textual criticism helps us to be able to say with at least 95% accuracy that we know exactly what the original manuscripts stated. So don’t freak out and think that the NIV and ESV are being taken over by a group of people trying to hide God’s Word from you, in fact the opposite is true.

Matthew 6:13

Here the NIV omits an important part of the “Lord’s Prayer, “For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever, Amen.”

Matthew 17:21

Did some of the translators of the NIV not believe in prayer and fasting?

Matthew 19:17

This verse should be stated correctly as, as in the KJV “Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God:”

Matthew 23:14
The NIV omitted this verse completely. Some of the translators of the NIV evidently did not like the word “damnation.”

Matthew 23:23
The word “faith” and the word “faithfulness” do not mean the same. The KJV of the Bible says, “By faith we are saved,” not by “faithfulness. I do not believe that “faith” and “faithfulness” have the same meaning.)

Mark 9:29.

The NIV omitted “fasting.” Our Lord Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights.

Mark 13:33

The KJV says, “Watch and Pray.” It is not the same as “be on guard! Be alert!” as translated in the NIV. To be a watchful and praying Christian is paramount.

Mark 15:28

This verse was omitted from the NIV. It was a prophecy from the Old Testament proclaiming the Deity of Christ.)

Luke 4:4
Words omitted in this verse, “but by every Word of God.” All of existence was brought into being by the Word of God. Jesus IS The Word of God. (This is one of the most important verses in the Bible)

Luke 4:8
“Get thee behind me Satan,” in the KJV. Why did the NIV translators not put these words in?

Luke 6:40
“Perfect” is not the same as “fully trained,” as stated in the NIV. Jesus wants us to be perfect in Him, not “fully trained.”

Luke 5:20
Jesus did not call the sinner “friend,” as translated in the NIV. He called him, “man,” as translated in the KJV.

Luke 11:2-4
When we pray the Lord’s Prayer, we pray “Our Father which art in Heaven”.  The NIV omitted the words “Our” and only mentions “Father.” Are they referring to another father?  In addition, “deliver us from evil” was omitted in verse 4 by the NIV translators. Did they not see a need for deliverance?

Luke 12:31
Here again the NIV omits these important words.  It should say “The kingdom of God.”  The NIV says, “his kingdom.” To which kingdom are they referring?

Luke 21:19
“Patience” is a gift of the Holy Spirit — “Standing firm” is not the same.

John 4:42
The NIV omitted the “Christ” which means “Anointed One.”

John 9:35
In this particular verse, It should be “Son of God” and not, “son of man,” as the NIV translates it.

Matthew 8:29
NIV translators omitted the name, “Jesus,” thou Son of God.

John 6:47
NIV says, “he who believes.” Should be, “He who believes on Me has everlasting life.”  Believing is not enough.

Acts 8:18
NIV says, “spirit – should be “Holy Spirit.”  Man has a spirit also.) Which spirit are the translators of the NIV referring to ?

Acts 10:30
(NIV omitted “fasting.” Fasting is powerful for seeing answers to our needs.

Acts 8:37
NIV omitted this entire verse – it is vital to Salvation (Did the translators of the NIV feel ashamed of the Name of Jesus?

Acts 10:30
NIV omitted the word “fasting” – fasting is powerful for seeing needs being met.

Acts 22:16
NIV says “Calling on his name.” KJV says “The Name of the Lord.”

Romans 11:6
The NIV is not very clear on this verse and the KJV explains “Grace and Works.”  The NIV omits, ”But if it be of works, then it is no more grace.”  This is an important part of the Gospel.

1 Corinthians 14:2
Two errors are in this verse. Firstly, it should read, “unknown tongue” and secondly it is by “the Spirit” (Holy Spirit) and not the spirit of man as in the NIV. Speaking in tongues is not by man’s understanding of the “unknown tongue.”  The spirit of man has nothing to do with the “unknown tongue.”   It is a gift of the Holy Spirit.

11 Corinthians 7:4
KJV says, “boldness of speech.” NIV says, “I have great confidence in you.”

11 Corinthians 10:5
KJV “Casting down imaginations” is correct. NIV says, “demolish arguments.”  See Isaiah 2:11-12 for the importance of casting down imaginations.

Galatians 4:7
KJV says “servant,” and not “slave,” as translated in the NIV.  A servant has the choice of leaving his master and a slave does not have a choice.  The importance of this translation is that we have a choice of serving Christ or of deserting Him, whereas, a slave does not have that choice.

Galatians 5:22
The NIV translators used the word “faithfulness” in place of the word ”faith.”  We are saved by faith and not by being faithful.

Galatians 6:15
NIV omits “for in Christ Jesus” in this verse.

Ephesians 3:9
NIV omitted “created all things by Jesus Christ.”  Revelation 22:19 warns us about taking away from the Word of God.

Ephesians 3:14
KJV says, “I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  NIV says, “I kneel before the Father.” (Which father are they talking about?)

Philippians 3:21
KJV says, “Vile bodies.” NIV says, “lowly bodies.”  These words have different meanings. Vile means sinful and lowly means humble.

Ephesians 5:9
KJV says “Fruit of the Spirit.” NIV says, “Fruit of the light.”

Philippians 4:13
KJV says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” NIV says, “I can do everything through him.”(Who are they talking about here?)

Colossians 1:2
The NIV omitted, “and from the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Colossians 2: 18
The NIV says, “What he has seen.”  The KJV says, “Things he hath not seen.” A careless translation.

1 Timothy 2: 7
KJV says, “Truth in Christ.”  NIV says, “Truth.” (There is only truth in Christ)

1 Timothy 3:16
NIV says “He appeared in a body.”  What type of body?  The KJV says, “God was manifest in the flesh.”

2 Timothy 3:17
KJV says, “That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”  NIV says, “So that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”  (A soldier can be equipped for warfare, but not perfect. Only Christ brings perfection.)

Hebrews 3:6
We are “rejoicing” and not “boasting” as translated in the NIV.

Hebrews 3:18
KJV says, “To them that believed not.”  NIV says, “ Not to those who disobeyed.”

Hebrews 4:12
KJV says, “The Word is quick and powerful,” not as in the NIV “quick and active.”  One can be active without being powerful.  It is the “Power of God,” that sets us free, not “activity.”

Hebrews 13:21
Should be “make you perfect” (KJV) not “equip” you as in the NIV.  There is a vast difference. (See comments on 2 Tim 3:17)

I Peter 1:22
Should be “with a pure heart” as in KJV not just heart.   NIV everyone has a heart, but only Gods children have pure hearts.

1 Peter 2:2
“Milk of the Word” is correct and easy to understand even for a child, but what does the NIV mean by spiritual milk?  The emphasis should be on the Word of God, and not on milk.

2 Peter 1:21
Should be “holy men,” that is men touched by the Holy Spirit, and not “men” as translated in the NIV.

1 John 5:13
The NIV left out the last part of this verse which is important and reads, “and that ye may believe on the Name of the Son of God.”

Jude 1
The NIV left out the word “sanctified.”  We are sinners who are sanctified (cleansed by the blood of Jesus, when He paid for our sins with his precious blood).

Revelation 1:11
The NIV omitted the very important Name of Jesus which reads “I AM THE ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE FIRST AND THE LAST.” This is in the original manuscripts.

Revelation 21:24
The nations “which are saved” in the KJV, and not just “the nations” as the NIV says.  We need to be saved, born again of the Spirit of God.

There are many more verses in both the New Testament as well as the Old Testament, which are in error in the NIV.  Added words, deleted words, changed the meaning or completely left out whole verses, The Lord warns against this practice in the book of Revelation 22:18-19.

Now lets look at some verses in the Old Testament, keeping in mind that not all the books in the NIV are in error. Many translators worked on the NIV; some were sincere, others were used by the devil to corrupt the Word of God.

Isaiah 14:12-15
Here the NIV drops the name, ”Lucifer,” which is another name for the Devil and replaces it with “Morning Star” in place of “son of the morning” as in the KJV.  Jesus is referred to as “Morning Star” as in the book of Revelation 22:16.  The translators make it sound like our Lord Jesus fell from grace, and not Satan, the devil.  The devil was cast out of heaven because of pride.

Exodus 6:3
The word “Jehovah” was replaced with the word ”Lord” in the NIV, this is incorrect because of the following reason, the Name “Jehovah” also known as “Yahweh” is a Name by which God is worshipped as the ”Self-Existent One;” One who reveals himself through his creation.  In this instance the name ” Lord” would not have done justice to the greatness of God.  There are also people who are called Lord. The title ”Lord” in this instance does not speak of the greatness of God.

Psalm 8:5
The NIV replace the word angel with a heavenly being, never heard of a heavenly being, why not stick to what the original manuscripts said.

Proverbs 8:18
“Righteousness” is correct as in the KJV.  Not “prosperity” as translated in the NIV.  One can be prosperous without being righteous, the world can make you prosperous but it can never make you righteous (in right standing with God) which only comes from God.

Jeremiah 29:11
Here the NIV replaces the word “Peace” with “prosperity.” We can be prosperous without having peace, God is not against His children prospering, but we need to keep the verses in context.

Daniel 3:25
The NIV misses the mark completely here by saying, “the fourth looks like the son of the gods.”  “The Son of God,” as translated in the KJV, and not “the gods,” as translated in the NIV.  Some of the translators of the NIV have tried to make the Word of God acceptable to all religions.  The Word of God cannot be changed to accommodate man, man needs to conform to the Word of God.

Closing Remarks:

Some say the NIV is easer to read; not so, the KJV makes more sense with the help of the Holy Spirit.  The NIV has so many controversial verses, that no serious Bible Scholar would feel comfortable studying it.  The NIV can be used as a reference to compare scripture.

Finally, the Lord gave me a revelation about this very problem, of distorting the Word of God.  He showed me His Word is like fresh, clean water.  Drinking clean water is healthy for the body.  On the other hand, we get sick from polluted water, same as your soul gets sick from the polluted translations of the Bible, as in the NIV.  A dying man in the desert can be revived with clean drinking water.  A dying soul on his way to hell, needs the pure Word of God.

  19. Mark 16:9-20 (all 12 verses) — There is a line separating the last 12 verses of Mark from the main text; and right under the line it says: The two most reliable early manuscripts do not have Mark 16:9-20] (NIV, 1978 ed.)
  20. Luke 17:36 — COMPLETELY removed.

  39. I John 5:7 — Vitally important phrase COMPLETELY removed. In the NIV it says,”For there are three that testify:”

The Jehovah’s Witness Bible

Interestingly the verses within the texts noted above are also not included in the Jehovah’s Witness Bible. The Jehovah’s Witness Bible also follows the same pattern as the NIV in Matthew 16:19-20 (all 12 verses) by also placing the last 12 verses of Mark as an appendix of sorts.

Now compare the NIV reading with the following Jehovah’s Witness reading:

Bibles.

WHOLE Bible verses deleted in the NIV

The following WHOLE verses have been removed in the NIV--whether in the text or footnotes...over 40 IN ALL!!!

Matthew 12:47 -- removed in the footnotes

Matthew 17:21 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."

Matthew 23:14 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation."

Mark 7:16 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"If any man have ears to hear, let him hear."

Mark 9:44 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."

Mark 9:46 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."

"But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses."

Mark 15:28 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors."

Mark 16:9-20 (all 12 verses) -- There is a line separating the last 12 verses of Mark from the main text. Right under the line it says: [The two most reliable early manuscripts do not have Mark 16:9-20] (NIV, 1978 ed.) The Jehovah's Witness "Bible" also places the last 12 verses of Mark as an appendix of sorts.

Luke 17:36 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left."

Luke 22:44  -- removed in the footnotes

Luke 22:43 -- removed in the footnotes

Luke 23:17 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"(For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)"

John 5:4 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had."

John 7:53-8:11  -- removed in the footnotes

Acts 8:37 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. It's deletion makes one think that people can be baptized and saved without believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. Sounds Catholic. What are you NIV readers missing?
"And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

Acts 15:34 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still."

"And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves."

Romans 16:24 -- COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. What are you NIV readers missing?
"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."

I John 5:7 -- Vitally important phrase COMPLETELY removed [also deleted from the Jehovah's Witness "Bible"]. In the NIV it says,

"For there are three that testify:"

Compare the NIV reading with the following Jehovah's Witness reading--

"For there are three witness bearers,"

What are you NIV readers missing? What does the real Bible say?

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

This is one of the GREATEST verses testifying of the trinity. The Jehovah's Witnesses leave it out. They do not believe in the trinity and they do not believe that Jesus is God. Why does the NIV leave it out...? Whole books have been written on the manuscript evidence that supports inclusion of this verse in the Bible. Reader, do you believe in the triunity of God? If so, then this deletion should offend you. People are wresting and perverting the scriptures to their own destruction.

NIV Reader: Do you have enough confidence in the NIV to...
tell God, OUT LOUD, that these verses do not belong in the Bible?
If not, you need to get an Authorized King James Bible so that you can have some confidence.

Exerpt from "THE AUTHORIZED VERSION OF THE WORD OF GOD:
THE PRECEPTS OF A MIGHTY NATION"

There is only one Authorized Version of the Bible; there shall be no other. The Revised Standard Version is not the Authorized Version. The American Standard Version is not the Authorized Version. They are both unauthorized versions and are not admitted nor accepted amongst those that receive the Authorized Version as the authorized version of the Bible (which is what it is). By definition, every Bible version that is not the Authorized Version is an unauthorized version and therefore rejected (whether there be hundreds, thousands, or multiplied millions (as in billions, trillions, or more) of these productions on the market).
  • New International Version unauthorized version
  • New American Standard Version unauthorized version
  • Revised Standard Version unauthorized version
  • American Standard Version unauthorized version
  • New World Testament unauthorized version
  • No changes to the Authorized Version are admitted on any wise. By definition, any Bible version that is not the Authorized Version is an unauthorized version. No one with a modicum (a little bit, a small quantity) of sense would boldly walk into a nation, scramble around its laws and constitution (and adding and subtracting therefrom), and then say that their vandalism and impudent proclamations are based on "the originals" and that the centuries-old statutes that the people of the kingdom have been thriving off of are unreliable. That would shake a kingdom at its foundation should its citizens be simple enough to listen to such person, but the kingdom of God is governed by the King of kings and Lord of lords that revealeth secrets and maketh known what his people need to know; his people know his voice and know not the voice of strangers--his people make whatever adjustments they need to make for they believe and obey the truth. They flee from strangers and will continue to do so. When the Lord Jesus comes back, his church will be waiting for him. The word of God will stand no matter what impious gainsayers may do.

GAINSAYER, n. (those who contradict or deny what is alleged; opposers, ref. Webster's 1828).

The enemy is very interested in the word of God, for if he can wrest it from the people, the people will be deceived, sick, weakly, dependent on the "experts," unrighteous, sinful, weak (and weakening), and of no threat to his kingdom. How many church people have gone to hell and how many will go...

The Authorized Version is the rule and touchstone whereby men (and their inventions) and spirits are tried. If any man or spirit speak not according to the authorized version of God's word, it is because there is no light in them. Now, in the midst of the deep deception overtaking the earth, is the time for splitting hairs and proving all things (doctrines, laws, etc.) by comparing them to the word of God, the Authorized Version.

    He said, I said

One writer said to me, "You [do not] talk about the large section of Mark [referring to Mark 16:9-20] which was INCLUDED with the provison that the earliest reliable manuscripts did not include that section." updated [Not everyone believes that those "older" manuscripts are authentic]

I said to him, That "provisional" statement is, at best, casting doubt on the word of God and at worst deleting the information in the footnotes. You say that the NIV says, the MOST RELIABLE manuscripts don't have it. That is as good as saying, "If you accept this rendering you are accepting an inferior, unreliable manuscript." What they DON'T tell you is that those same "reliable" manuscripts DON'T EVEN INCLUDE THE WHOLE BOOK OF REVELATION!!! If the manuscript is so reliable, then why didn't they take out the WHOLE book of Revelation? Mmm? Selective deletion? Why not be true to what they say are the earliest and most reliable manuscripts? I have no respect for this.

As I receive further information, I will upate this page. This is a fight for the word of God, the Authorized (King James) Version of 1611, the product of the Protestant Reformation.

updatedThe Roman Catholic Church, her Jesuits, and Modern Unauthorized Bible Versions (roman_catholic_church_and_unauthorized_versions.htm).

Lord willing, information on the Roman Catholic Church involvement with the New Internation Version (NIV) is forthcoming. The true church has historically identified Rome as the great whore of Revelation 17 and MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. She meets all of the qualifications, fornicating with the kings of the earth, drunken with the blood of the saints, color of her clothes, etc. God's Spirit even told us geographical information--she is a city that sits on seven mountains. Rome is world-famous as the city of seven hills. Former Roman Catholic Jesuit priest, Dr. Alberto Rivera, said on this wise, No matter what abomination you are looking at, always look for The Mother.

The Roman Catholic "Church" is not Christian.

Roman Catholicism: The Cult of Mary (a number of articles on Rome including "Alter Christus", "The Antichrist Slideshow" and more.

updatedI watched a video, "The REAL Bible Version Issue Exposed!" (sold by AV Publications). It has information about the NIV, at a certain point, being translated at a Roman Catholic university, The University of Salamanca. They excerpted this information from a book written by one of the "creators" of the NIV, Burton L. Goddard. The name of the book is The NIV Story: The Inside Story of the New International Version (quoted from pages 96 and 97)

"In 1976 the scene is the Colegio Mayor Montellano, a residential unit of the University of Salamanca, fourth largest university in Europe. An order of Catholic nuns operates the residence..." Page 97 "They [summers in Europe] provide a practical day-by-day ecumenical experience beyond compare."

What is the significance of this? In the not too distant past, the Roman Catholic Church BURNED Bibles and in her inquisitions she BURNED Christians that translated or read the Bible? Why would she be involved in, yea leading, an "ecumenical" experience with Protestants? Why was she involved in the translation of the NIV in any manner? Since her Vatican II council meeting around 1965, she typically publicly calls Protestants "separated brethren" instead of her old time title for them, "heretics." Heretics were to be rooted out, looted, tortured, burned, killed slain. But that was back then when she had the power to terrorize nations. Why would SHE be involved in translating Protestant unauthorized Bible versions? A quote from the back of the DVD--

"This video proves that the New 'Bible' Versions produced since 1881, are part of the Jesuit plan known as the 'Counter Reformation.'

In this video you will see documented proof of Roman Catholic infiltration and even control of Protestant churches and organizations.

You will understand that the Jesuit plan is to bring in a new Dark Age by replacing the King James Version [originally known as the "Holy Bible" and eventually, the "Authorized Version"] with HUNDREDS of corrupt counterfeits!"

Does Rome have any previous experience in Bible translation? Let's go to a witness from 1844. Let us first look at the title of the book--

Popery, The Enemy and the Falsifier of Scripture.
    Or,
    Facts and Evidences,
Illustrative of the Conduct of the Modern
    Church of Rome,
in prohibiting the reading and circulation of the
    holy scriptures in the vulgar [this means "common"] tongue;
    and also of the
FALSIFICATION OF THE SACRED TEXT IN TRANSLATIONS
OF THE BIBLE EXECUTED BY ROMANISTS.

"Ye have taken away the key of knowledge."--Luke XI.52. [Luke 11:52]
LONDON: William Edward Painter, 342, Strand.
    MDCCCXLIV [1844]., p. 4

What does it say on page 4?

As this Encyclical Letter [speaking of an encyclical by Pope Gregory XVI (June 8, 1844)]* refers with approbation [approval] to the efforts of those pontiffs [speaking of popes], his predecessors, who, in the plenitude of their usurped supremacy, denounced [put down] all Protestant versions of the Bible; we think (at least we, hope) that we shall render a service to the reader of these pages, by placing upon record some documentary evidence on this subject: and since Gregory XVI. has thought proper to charge Protestant versions with being "corrupt," we shall proceed to adduce some convincing testimonies, which will demonstrate, that WHERE THE CHURCH OF ROME CANNOT altogether PREVENT THE HOLY SCRIPTURES from being translated and circulated, SHE HAS MADE NO SCRUPLE [HESITATION] OF FALSIFYING THE TEXT."

Let's go back further. In 1611, the translators of the Authorized (King James) Version told us why Rome made a venacular translation of the Bible in the first place. After the Protestant Reformation, the scriptures were being made widely available. Rome was forced to develop her own alterative--

Yea, so unwilling they are to communicate the Scriptures to the people's understanding in any sort, that they are not ashamed to confess that we forced them to translate it into English against their wills. (The Translators to the Reader (was attached to the Authorized King James Version)

What did the King James translators say about Rome's translations of the Bible? Here they note that Rome attempted to obscure the meaning--

...we have shunned the obscurity of the Papists, in their 'azymes', 'tunik', 'rational', 'holocausts', 'prepuce', 'pasche', and a number of such like, whereof their late translation is full, and that of purpose to darken the sense, that since they must needs translate the Bible, yet by the language thereof it may be kept from being understood. But we desire that the Scripture may speak like itself, as in the language of Canaan, that it may be understood even of the very vulgar. (Translators to the Reader, paragraph entitled, "Reasons inducing us not to stand curiously upon an identity of phrasing")

Who did the Authorized King James Version translators say was their "chief adversaries" during the translation of the King James Version (back then it was just called "Holy Bible", King James was the king that specially commanded the translation)? "The Church of Rome". This can be seen in "The Translators to the Reader." Just go to the paragraph entitled, "The unwillingness of our chief adversaries that the Scriptures should be divulged in the mother tongue, &c." WHY would Rome be involved in Protestant/"ecumenical" translations today?  At the instigation of her popes, Rome has shed rivers of blood of Christians who would not bow down to the Pope and Roman Catholic heresies and blasphemies--the martyrs of Jesus. She would identify and declare open season on those who translated or even believed God's word. WHY is she involved in Bible translation?

THE HISTORICAL RECORD CLEARLY SAYS THAT SHE FALSIFIES THE TEXT!

A 1617 tract entitled, "Mischeefes Mysterie: Or Treason's Master-Peece, the Powder Plot London 1617" shows eight heads arranged in a circle. The heads represent popery, e.g. the pope and Catholic officials, as well as a devil. Each head breathes out his threatenings and blasphemies including, "FALSIFICATION OF SCRIPTURES" (emphases ours). THIS WAS 1617! And remember the book from 1844, "Popery, The Enemy and the Falsifier of Scripture... FALSIFICATION OF THE SACRED TEXT IN TRANSLATIONS
OF THE BIBLE EXECUTED BY ROMANISTS.
" THE REVISED VERSION WOULD BE OUT IN LESS THAN 40 YEARS! THE WORDS OF HERETIC "GREEK" TRANSLATORS WESCOTT AND HORT IN THEIR LETTERS SOUND MIGHTY POPISH. ACCORDING TO A WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE, THE REVISED VERSION IS BASICALLY CREDITED WITH BEGINNING THE MODERN BIBLE VERSION MOVEMENT--AND IT WAS BASED ON WESCOTT AND HORT'S "The New Testament in the Original Greek."

"The New Testament in the Original Greek" was published in 1881, as was the Revised Version based upon it: this latter failed to gain lasting popularity, but the Westcott-Hort text and theory has dominated the scene since. (excerpted from Traditional Text Pamphlets Homepage and compiled by David Blunt of the James Begg Society, emphases ours; see From Their Own Mouths--A selection of statements revealing the attitudes of these two most noted textual critics. Westcott and Hort )

A repentant participant in the NASV revealed to us that "the older and better" manuscripts came Out From Her--Rome!!!!!!!!!!!!

And don't forget that notable quote from a Roman Catholic Jesuit meeting in Cheri, Italy, in 1825 not long after the Congress of Vienna (1814-1815) (a pact/"Holy Alliance" between Rome and certain kings was made)--

"Then the Bible, that serpent which with head erect and eyes flashing, threatens us with its venom while it trails along the ground, shall be changedinto a rod AS SOON AS WE ARE ABLE TO SEIZE IT... for three centuries past this cruel asp has left us no repose. You well know with what folds it entwines us and with what fangs it gnaws us." (The Jesuits in History, Hector Macpherson, Ozark Book Publishers, 1997, Appendix 1). [emphases ours]

"Seize it"? Are those the words of a pretended usurper or no?

Rome dug up Bible translator John Wycliffe's bones over 40 years after he died and burned them in spite. She chased down Bible translator William Tyndale, a good man, who was eventually caught, strangled, and burned up during the times of King Henry VIII around 1536. I've seen screenshots of the NIV being sold online on Roman Catholic bookstores! Is the NIV acceptable to her or not???????????????? We have not even addressed the later version(s) of the NIV--gone hog wild crazy (e.g., we have an old article on the "Today's New International Version" gender inclusivity and a 2011 article on the 2011 NIV entitled, "The 2011 NIV-- TNIV gender-inclusivity was, was not, and now is in the 2011 NIV") HOG WILD! Why aren't church people warned? Always look at the leadership. Our pastors are often not taught and if they are, they are scared and fearful and satisfied with the status quo. The book of Isaiah testifies of the blind watchmen that are dumb dogs that cannot bark. The preachers are not warning the people. We need some barking! Some LOUD barking! The preachers in pulpits are not identifying MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.  The Mother.

Did the Roman Catholic Church give us the Bible? Somebody has had the nerve to say she did. What she did is burn us up and torture us and torment us. If they ever thought about reading the Bible, Catholics had to try to get a license to read the Bible--and back then you had better not be caught sneaking around with the Bible or even helping anybody who had one. The historical record says that during the Roman Catholic Inquisition, such persons did not get to defend themselves, they just had to be abused, whole towns wiped out.  It is said that the martyrs were so courageous because they knew they were resisting antichrist--and they did so to the DEATH. For case histories, see unabridged books like The Martyrs Mirror".

I did not know all this information back when I started this webpage, I just knew that somebody was adding and deleting and rearranging and calling their production a Bible which I knew it was not. The Lord's sheep hear his voice. They do not know the voice of strangers. In fact, they flee from strangers. It is automatic. We are his sheep and he is our Shepherd and Bishop of our souls--he is the Bishop, not some blaspheming man in a costume and a pointed hat impudently/shamelessly claiming to be the head of God's church because that man so-called sits in the non-existent "chair of Peter."

"I never heard this in school." No surprise. Enter the Roman Catholic Jesuit role in education.... Go to our index page to read information like--

Information is fast disappearing. May every truth lover print out, consider, and share our index page. It has all the major themes of these endtimes on it--including the emerging church of the devil. Church people are chanting to devils, becoming magicians. The beast will arise soon, gird up, fellowsoldier.

The New International Version was translated by an international group of scholars under the auspices of the Committee on Bible Translation. The translators attempted to use a method between the Formal Equivalency (word for word) and the Dynamic Equivalency (thought for thought), although it leans too much toward Dynamic for many. Translation began in 1965 and the New Testament was published in 1973. The original translation efforts were sponsored by the International Bible Society, now known as Biblica. Translation efforts cost much more than originally estimated. Despite the fact IBS employees mortgaged their homes to keep it going, the finances were not sustainable. The Christian publishing company Zondervan came alongside them in 1975, offering to cover the translation effort in return for rights to publish and sell the NIV when it was complete.

The NIV was finished three years later, in 1978, and revised in 1984 into the standard version that many of us learned from as kids. The New International Reader's Version (NIrV) was started in 1992 and is designed for a third-grade reading level for young children and ESL readers.

In 2005, the Today's New International Version (TNIV) was released. Many unspecified pronouns were changed from the masculine to the plural ("he" to "they") which may have nullified some Old Testament prophecies about Christ. Because of push-back to these and other unnecessary changes, it went out of print in 2009.

The 2011 New International Version includes some of the same problems that caused the TNIV to go out of print. The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood found over 3600 gender-related problems, including alterations to verses like 1 Timothy 2:12 and Nahum 3:13which misrepresent the original text's teaching on gender roles. Despite this, the 2011 will now be the standard NIV sold.

The Committee on Bible Translationare still the translators of the NIV. They include seminary professors from Wheaton, Bethel, Calvin Theological, Denver, Cambridge, and Westminster. None of them appear to have any formal affiliation with Zondervan or HarperCollins, although it's logical to assume Zondervan still finances their efforts.

    Missing Verses

Regarding the "missing verses," the 1984 NIV either never had them, included them only in the footnotes, or slapped brackets around them with the note "The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do not have..." For a more thorough explanation of those verses, see the Got Questions article. The gist of the article is that these verses were not included in the oldest, most reliable Greek texts we have found to date.

Please understand that the literal translations Got Questions recommends, the NASB and the ESV, treat these verses the same way. If you are faithful to the King James Version, you're not going to like any of these translations, and the argument is irrelevant. Loyalty to the King James is often more emotional than scholarly, however. It was a very good idea and used the best Bible sources available at the time, although older and more accurate sources have been found since then. These older sources indicate that certain verses were added to the Textus Receptus, the 15th century Greek New Testament, that were not original. Actually, the Textus Receptus was finished so hastily, it went under several modifications until most of the typos were finally removed in 1633 — 22 years after the King James was first translated. Three hundred years later, the Textus Receptus was replaced with a more accurate Greek version.

    Evil Publishers

The copyright of the NIV is still owned and controlled by Biblica. In the US, Zondervan is still licensed to publish and sell the NIV, while in the UK Hodder & Stoughton hold the license. Here's a run-down of the publishing company sales:

1962 Harper & Brothers merges with Row, Peterson & Co. to become Harper & Row.
1987 Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation buys publisher William Collins, Sons.
1988 Harper & Row buys Zondervan as well as Christian publishing company Marshall Pickering.
1989 News Corp. buys Harper & Row and combines it with William Collins to make HarperCollins.

News Corporation also owns Fox Entertainment Group, Inc., which includes 20th Century Fox (everything from M*A*S*H to Night at the Museum to The Omen to Alvin and the Chipmunks — and the first two Star Wars trilogies). As well as Fox News, National Geographic Channel, Fox Sports, and FX.

News Corporation's publishing is varied, to say the least. It includes the New York Post and The Wall Street Journal. HarperCollins owns the romance imprint Harlequin, Ecco Books (Richard Dawkins and Amy Tan), Avon (The Satanic Bible and romances), Harper Perennial (To Kill a Mockingbird), and HarperOne (CS Lewis, Desmond Tutu, Rob Bell...) among others.

Under its Christian line, HarperCollins' acquisitions include BibleGateway, Thomas Nelson, and the self-publishing imprint WestBow Press.

    Conclusion

There are four general basic reasons given to reject the New International Version. Some have merit and some don't.

It's published (not owned) by the same parent corporation that publishes The Satanic Bible
If you wish to refrain from lining the pockets of people who peddle evil, that's a fine and noble decision. But you're also giving up newer printings of CS Lewis, Donald Miller, Ann Voskamp, some Andy Stanley, some Ben Carson, Lee Strobel, and many others. Not to mention the middle three Star Wars movies and Fox News.

    It has missing verses
Please read the Got Questions article if this is genuinely a concern. These verses appeared in the Greek text available at the time of the translation of the King James Version, but not in the older Greek texts found later. Their inclusion/exclusion don't affect theology or the person of Christ in any way.

The 2011 NIV deviates too much from the text
That's a valid concern and one that we have, as well. If you wish to reject the 2011 NIV for this reason, we have no argument.

It's not the King James Version
If you're loyal to the KJV, we're also not going to argue — in part because it's often more of a sentimental choice than a historically logical one. That's a decision you need to make, and while we don't agree that the KJV is the best (and we will tell you why when asked), we're not going to fight about it.
