Good. I wasn’t trying to lie or be fake 😇. This should be addressed because there’s a false image of what “Christian’s” are “supposed” to “look like/act like….” When those who say these things usually lack knowledge of the Holy Scriptures, and if they did know they dare not make accusations against the just and condemn us. I digress; here is the case for this one:
“that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;”
Colossians 1:10-11 KJV
^^totally opposite of how DARKNESS, ingratitude and bitterness can cloud your mind and fog your brain. Speak truth to the lies.
When the spirit is weak, the mind runs errands for the flesh by thinking negative thoughts. But when we constantly build our spirit by communion with Holy Spirit, our mind comes under the influence of the Word of God and Holy Spirit who lives in us. We are left with the choice to think on God’s things or let the mind go with the flow of life.
Step 3. What you feed your mind with becomes a mindset. A mindset is impossible to change without changing what your mind is filled with. Typically, when we hear the truth about breaking strongholds or renewing of the mind, we get busy trying to change our mindsets. We quickly learn that it is not an easy task.
“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”
Colossians 2:6-7 KJV
“Forsake the foolish, and live; And go in the way of understanding.
He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: And he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.”
Proverbs 9:6-9 KJV
-not every situation is the same for witnessing purposes; but know that with God there are no mistakes… and it is all by His divine hand.
“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”
Ephesians 4:31-32 KJV
“But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.”
Ephesians 5:3-6 KJV
“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.”
Ephesians 5:1-2 KJV
^^^whenever weird gross men start to hit on me or they start being weird, I sense it and call it out and stick to business! Just because I am standing here does not mean I want you to eyeball me head to toe- my body is for Christ and my husband alone. 😇
“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”
Ephesians 5:18-19 KJV
“submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:”
Ephesians 5:21-25, 27-29 KJV
—word by word, verse by verse. Submit yourselves unto one another; wives, submit yourselves to your husband, as UNTO the LORD.
Pause.
…..
^^***please see blog post on biblical submission: for wives and husbands
“For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”
2 Corinthians 2:9-11 KJV
^we must forgive. It’s just not an option. See here the rest of the verse; it leaves an open door for the devil to sow unforgiveness and bitterness in your heart. Ewwwwwww so gross!!!
“Open rebuke is better Than secret love.”
Proverbs 27:5 KJV
- do you know how to rebuke someone, in love, being more spiritually lest you be tempted also? It’s REALLY hard and you NEED the power of the Holy Spirit inside of you (9 fruits) to counteract the Adamic nature and sin nature you NATURALLY act like. Paul tells us we have a dual nature we struggle with until we are out of here- rapture or death baby our TITUS 2:13 promise STILL STANDS. Do not lose heart or cast off your first faith.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
2 Timothy 3:16 KJV
-this means, yes, every literal single word of the Bible is PROFITABLE for ALL - I study Greek Hebrew and English (least favorite) because we are not to lean on our own understanding, and Hebrew is original for OT Greek NT.
This is also not about “being better” , righteousness issue. Christ imputes HIS righteousness to EVERY single born again believer, immediately. Seek first the kingdom of God (Holy Spirit within-believe-duhhh) and Christ’s righteousness and all else shall be added to thee- it means literally all else.
God cannot lie and He is FAITHFUL Who promised. It is about what JESUS CHRIST has done and can do. Stay focused!!
“Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;”
1 Timothy 5:1 KJV
“the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.”
1 Timothy 5:2 KJV
“These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”
Titus 2:15 KJV
“Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.”
Leviticus 19:17 KJV
“And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.”
Luke 17:4 KJV
-so the enemy will try you with this one; better go ahead and forgive and let go for some and pray for them, because bitterness and unforgiveness is just you drinking poison wanting something to happen to the one whom harmed you. We cannot expect our sins to be forgiven if we harbor unforgiveness. It is written.
“preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”
2 Timothy 4:2 KJV
“Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.”
1 Timothy 5:20 KJV
^time and season for everything. Make sure you are armored up when you do it; keep a trap over your mouth pray for that.
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”
2 Timothy 4:3 KJV
^when people do not want to hear truth, they want to hear lies and have someone play into their nonsense- this is a battlefield and we are to also bear one another’s burdens so we fulfill the law of Christ.
“But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”
Hebrews 3:13 KJV
1. to call to one's side, call for, summon
2. to address, speak to, (call to, call upon), which may be done in the way of exhortation, entreaty, comfort, instruction, etc.
a. to admonish, exhort
b. to beg, entreat, beseech
1. to strive to appease by entreaty
c. to console, to encourage and strengthen by consolation, to to comfort
1. to receive consolation, be comforted
d. to encourage, strengthen
e. exhorting and comforting and encouraging
f. to instruct, teach
“preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”
2 Timothy 4:2 KJV
“Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.”
Titus 2:6 KJV
^it literally has nothing to do with alcohol, lol. But it does deal with modesty and self control (self control is the last (9th) fruit of the Holy Spirit- He gives and produces in us. In Greek, σωφρονέω = sōphroneō; it means “good judgment”, 1. to be of sound mind
a. to be in one's right mind
b. to exercise self control
1. to put a moderate estimate upon one's self, think of one's self soberly
2. to curb one's passions
In order to be in one’s “right mind”; you must put off the old self and on the new in Christ- this requires listening and studying the word of God. How will you know how to be otherwise? It is belief of the truth of the GOSPEL- 3 days, 3 nights death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ Who is fully God manifest in the flesh/ our Maker and Creator. Time to repent and believe before it is too late. Be ye reconciled to God by the blood of Jesus Christ. Tetelestai means it is already finished 🙌🏻🫶🏻.
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
1 Timothy 2:1-5 KJV
^^ I got an amazing position, God sets up those in authority HALLELUJAH 🙌🏻🙏🏻; so I will be praying this daily.
Jesus says every word of God. Doesn’t seem like I am too much at all.
“Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;”
Titus 2:9 KJV
“Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.”
1 Thessalonians 5:14 KJV
“holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.”
Titus 1:9 KJV
