Masterbation...yes is sin. Why would you even question that lol

Masturbation

As a born again, Bible believer and Jesus follower, this is a topic that seriously needs to be talked about and called for what it is: sin against self. Can you not see the word itself says "master"... you are professing yourself, self, and Satan (unknowingly)... who else sees you when you are doing these things? Think about that... Jesus is watching from Heaven. and the Devil, because he hasn't been cast down yet to the earth, literally..

It took me 18 years to break the habit and kill the sin itself. I had to rebuke Incubus and Succubus demons and break serious generational curses, because I was molested as a young child (5). I never realized until I worked out and through my salvation, that this was a serious sin against my own body and I needed serious repentance and forgiveness from the LORD Himself. What grace and mercy He had upon me!

"You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy." {Leviticus 19:2}

"The God who chose you is holy. So you should be holy in all that you do. It is written, 'Be holy, because I am holy.'" {1 Peter 1:15-16}

"Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion." {1 Corinthians 7:8-9}

For those who do not have the gift of singleness, the biblical solution is to get married, not to masturbate.

"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness or foolish talk, or vulgar joking, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty, that no sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, which amounts to an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

See that no one deceives you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience."

{Ephesians 5:1-6 NASB}

God has made it clear to me, in my own life, that masturbation is a sin. There is no longer any doubt in my mind.

Both my current church, and the one I previously attended, have made it clear that they also view masturbation as a sin.

This is a difficult sin to break free of. Do the best that you can, and, if you slip up, confess your sin and try again.

It will take time for you to make progress; don't expect to break free all at once.

Some suggestions follow.

When you feel demonic pressure to masturbate, wait one hour. The demonic pressure may subside. Pray on the blood of Jesus. Rebuke any unclean thought, casting them down as they exalt themselves over the knowledge of God. Sometimes I have had to say, "Incubus and Succubus demons COME OUT in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!"

Avoid sexually arousing thoughts. This is necessary to make progress.

View sinful, sexually arousing thoughts, as any other spiritual attack; Submit to God first, then you can resist the devil.

Reciting Scripture, especially out loud, will help.

Some examples:

  • "Be holy, for I am holy." {1 Peter 1:16}
  • "I will set nothing wicked before my eyes . . ." {Psalms 101.3}
  • ". . . whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right . . . think about these things." {Philippians 4:8}

Memorize these.

Avoid media content that is sexually arousing—especially if you are single and, hence, do not have a legitimate sexual outlet. I think this is less of a problem for the married. Stop following women showing their bodies off- yes, for those who work out something simple may very well trigger your eyes and you not realize.

For singles: It is a mistake to believe that you only have to avoid media content that involves nudity.

For men: thought substitution: When you find yourself looking at a woman the wrong way, remember to instead check out her HAIR.

The more disciplined you are in terms of your thought life and media habits, the easier it becomes to stay free from this sin.

Remember, your subconscious mind works 24 hours a day.

The longer you abstain from masturbation, the easier it becomes to stay free from this sin.

You will have greater success in your Christian life, and more peace, if you make a good-faith effort to abstain from all sin—including masturbation.

Some closing comments follow.

First: This article applies only to self-masturbation. The mutual pleasuring that takes place in a marital relationship is fine. Because God ordained marriage and sex to be enjoyed; the marriage bed will stay and be undefiled. God is serious about whoremongerers and adulterers.

Second: If you have doubts as to whether or not masturbation is a sin, you can test the issue—or any other issue—just as Gideon did (Judges 6:36-40). An example follows.

While you are experiencing anxiety and/or depression: "Dear Lord, if masturbation is a sin, I ask forgiveness of my sin and ask that you would make this clear to me by immediately restoring my peace. In Jesus' name. Amen."

And see what happens.
