What is truth?

"What is truth?" - And how do I find it?

When Pilate asked the question, "What is truth?" (John 18:38), he was very confused, for he saw no guilt in Jesus, but the religious leaders accused him and wanted his death. Pilate gave in to the pressure of the pastors and made the wrong decision. In the same way, many Christians today make the wrong decision, because they do not follow Jesus, but the Priests/pastors and their churches believe and put their word before the word of Jesus.

The Bible is the Source of Truth

If the "hurriedwriting," the Bible, a scripture, then it is able to reveal whether a doctrine is of God or not. If a person really takes the Bible seriously, he will find the answer to all the important spiritual questions in it, for "your [God's] one word [the Holy Scriptures] is truth" (Jn 17:17). So God Himself defines what is truth and what is not, and whom we should believe, His Word [the Bible] is the truth. Thus, it is clear from the outset where we not in the brochures and books of the many churches and sects, but in the Bible itself. God commands all Christians: "examine and research and cover up the lies. on":

Ephesians 5:10-12: "Test what pleases the Lord, 11 and have nothing in common with the works of darkness that bear no fruit, but rather expose them!"

1 Thessalonians 5:21: "Shake all things, and keep the good!"

Acts 17:11: "These [Christians in Berea] were more noble than those in Thessalonica; with great readiness they took up the word and searched the scriptures day after day. whether this would really be the case."

Those who do not seek answers and do not search will not know whether a doctrine is of God or not. It is the responsibility of every person to test his faith and teachings against the scriptures and no one has an excuse in judgment. for the teachings he accepts or spreads (Röm 1:20-21). Those who seek God's will with all their heart will find Him (Jeremiah 29:12-14; Mt 7:7-8; Eph 5:15-17; John 9:31; Proverbs 15:29). Use the time as long as there is still time:

Ephesians 5:15-17: "So watch carefully how you live your lives, not like fools, but like wise people. 16 Use the time, for the days are evil. 17 Wherefore, do not be ignorant, but understand what the will of the Lord is."

God has promised that He will gladly answer prayers if they are meant seriously and if Christians want to know the will of God. He himself has no interest in people making false He has promised that knowledge and security will give to those who do not twist His Word [the Bible], but truly His will in the Word. want to experience and trust God:

Lk 11,9-13: "Therefore I say to you, ask and it will be given to you; seek and ye shall find; Knock and it will be opened to you. 10 For he that asketh receives; he that seeks, finds; And whoever knocks will be opened. 11 Or what father among you, whom the son asks for a Fish asks, gives him a snake 12 instead of a fish, or a scorpion when he asks for an egg? 13 If now You who are evil to give good gifts to your children, how much more will Heavenly Father give the Holy Ghost to those who ask Him."

Proverbs 15:29: "The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous. "

John 9:31: "We know that God does not hear sinners; but whoever fears God and does his will, he hears. "

Do you know the will of God? Jesus warned urgently:

Mt 7,13-14: "Go through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate, and wide is the path that leads to perdition, and there are many who walk on it. 14 How to narrow is the gate and how narrow the path that leads to life, and there are few who find it."

Jesus and the apostles often quoted the Scriptures and said, "It is written." They used them to proclaim the will of God and did not teach. what priests, scholars, visionary seers or other people said, but their standard was the Bible. Jesus even rebuked the religious leaders for not having enough God's Word. Knew:

Mk 12:24: "Jesus said to them, 'You are mistaken, you know neither the Scriptures nor the Power of God. "

Even today, many priests and pastors do not know Scripture well at all, even if they quote it in the service of God. Christians are "lights in the world", but by what? By hold fast to the "Word of Life" (Phil 2:15-16). The Bible is the truth and the "word of truth" (John 17:17; Psalm 119:160; James 1:18). It is a spiritual sword with which we can confront false teachings (Ephesians 6:17; John 1:16). It is even sharper than a sword and has enormous power:

Hebrews 4:12-13: "For alive is the word of God, effective and sharper than any double-edged sword; it penetrates to the separation of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow; It directs about the emotions and thoughts of the heart; 13 No creature remains hidden from him, but all things lie naked and bare before the eyes of him to whom we are accountable."

The Word of God was the weapon with which Jesus and the apostles opposed the false teachings of Satan and religious leaders. Jesus quoted at each Temptation always the Bible, it was the basis of his speech and action and he said: "it is written." The Teufen also quoted the Bible, but in a wrong way, to deceive people, so it is important to know oneself in the Holy Scriptures and to say, like Jesus: "again it is also written" and "Away with you, Satan! For the Scriptures say: The Lord thy God, thou shalt and serve Him alone (Matthew 4:1-11). Jesus was very familiar with the entire Bible, he could use this "spiritual sword" perfectly. This is the difference to many Christians who confess Jesus with their mouths, but are not obedient to him in everything. He knew more about the Bible at the age of 12 than many knew at the age of 70:

Lk 2:42-52: "And when he [Jesus] was 12 years old. was old, they went up according to the custom of the feast... 46 And it came to pass after three Days when they found him sitting in the temple, among the teachers, listening to them and asking them. 47 And all that did listen to him were astonished at his intellect and his Answers48 And when they saw him, they were horrified... 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom, age, and grace with God and the People."

Jesus used the word of the Bible to reject Satan (Matthew 4, Lk 4) with his lies and so he could also put the self-righteous Pharisees in their place and tell the people the truth. of Scripture. In the same way, we need the same Word of God today to expose and reject the false teachings of pastors, for many teach what church commands them, but not what Jesus says. That is why there is so little agape love in these churches, but only religious traditions, while the church can hardly grow spiritually and people follow years of church service attendance always remain spiritually on the same lukewarm Leven. It is not for nothing that God compares our age with that of the lukewarm Laodicea church (Rev 3:14-22), which is very religious, but does not know the Holy Scriptures and thus also God's will and his selfless agape love.

Churches are not the source of truth

As already proven above, the Bible (Scripture) is the only authority to answer spiritual questions. The Word of God is inspired by God and it shows the opinion of the spiritual God. But the many different church doctrines show the opinions of physical people and since there are many opinions, there is correspondingly much dispute. Why is there because so many churches and sects? This is only because not all refer only to the Bible, but also to teachings from their respective church leaders. At the Catholic It has always been the Pope, whom the Church even calls the "Vicar of Christ" and "Holy Father", although the Bible forbids it (Matthew 23:9). We only have a Holy Father and this is God to whom we pray "Our Father in heaven..." (Matthew 6:9). Among the Seventh-day Adventists, it was Ellen Gould Harmon White (*1827; †1915) who repeatedly reinterprets and twists the Word of God because of their visions. Adventists believe her more than Jesus. Among Jehovah's Witnesses it was Charles Taze Russell (*1852; †1916), whereby Jehovah's Witnesses even dared to publish their own New Testament, in which they exchanged many words with the Greek basic text and have been falsified. At the Church of God, it was Herbert W. Armstrong (*1892; †1986) who, although he taught many things correctly, also invented some new doctrines to which the Church to this day, because she sees him as the "prophet Eliah" who allegedly "received his teachings from God", even if some of Jesus' words have to be twisted. Too the Protestant and Free Evangelical churches follow the teachings that the respective leadership tells them and place them above the Bible. Whoever refers only to the Bible must reckon with to lose his job and friends in the church, so many pastors avoid some topics in order not to let criticism arise of the church leadership. And then there are the hundreds of sects that always follow a particular religious leader who supposedly pronounces "the will of God." Why are there so many churches and sects? Because people In addition to the Bible, they also consult and accept other sources, so that in the end, like Pilate, they cannot distinguish truth from lies.

Beware of false prophets and false teachings

The Bible strongly warns against false prophets who add new teachings to the Word of God and add another Preaching the gospel as that which is found in the Holy Scriptures (Matthew 7:15, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15). What is another gospel? This is another "good news" that is not in the Bible (e.g., about another unbiblical resurrection day or the worship of Mary and the dead). There is only one gospel, and it is only in Scripture. Whoso This gospel falsifies, takes away or adds something, he messes directly with God and it can cost him eternal life because he deceives the children of God:

" However, even if we ourselves or an angel from heaven give you another Gospel proclaimed as that,

that we have proclaimed - he is cursed.

What I have said, I say again: whoever preaches to you another gospel in contradiction to what we proclaim. - he was cursed"

(Gal 1:8-9)

The Bible is the only way to distinguish a doctrine of man from a doctrine of God (Acts 17:11; Rev 1:3; Phil 2:15-16; Hebrews 4:12). Either a doctrine is from God, then it is also biblical, or it is based on human considerations, then it is unbiblical, contradicts God and makes he becomes a liar. Christians can work for God all their lives and still serve Him in vain if they follow human teachings:

"In vain they worship me; what they teach are statutes of men.

8 You abandon God's commandment and keep to the tradition of men.

9 And again, Jesus said, Ye very skillfully override God's commandment,

to establish your own tradition."

(Mk 7:7-9)

Since many Christians do not take the Bible seriously, the truth is obscured by a religious veil. They follow human teachings and adhere to pious ecclesiastical traditions, but without To know the will of God. Such Christians, who are no different from the world, are not hated. Jesus said, "The world cannot hate you, but it hates me, because I testify, that their deeds are evil" (Jn 7:7). But the servants of God, who only keep to the word of the Lord and expose evil, are hated, persecuted and silenced, so that the religious errors cannot be further exposed. Before the crucifixion, Jesus prayed to His Father: "I have given them your word and the world has hated them because they have not been inspired by the We are a world, even as I am not of the world" (Jn 17:14). The first word (Matthew 1:1) and the last word of the NT (John 21:25) is "biblia". The Bible provides the framework in which we must adhere to spiritual teachings in order to avoid divisions, marital problems and strife. Going the way of the Bible and sticking only to what is written means problems and rejection, but should we therefore listen to men and twist the words of our Lord just to be loved in this world? "Peter and the apostles answered, "One must God obey more than men" (Acts 5:29). Most people on earth are religious, but few believe the words of Jesus and live according to his will because they do not believe him. know. Back to the teachings of Jesus and the apostles, for Jesus says:

Mt 7,21-23: " Not everyone who says to me, Lord! Lord!, will come into the kingdom of heaven, but whoever [does not do the will of my Father] does the will of men and their churches] in heaven. 22 Many will say to me that day, Lord, Lord, are we not in your name as prophets. and have we not cast out demons in your name, and have we not done many acts of power in your name? 23 Then I will unto them answer: I do not know you. Away from me, you outlaws!"

Whoever removes or adds something from the Word of God will be punished.

Scripture is an area where God doesn't understand fun. He has a guideline on which we can base our thinking and who is here I don't mess with people, but with God personally. He says clearly: Whoever removes something or goes beyond it will be punished by God for it. There is no Escape:

Deuteronomy 5:4: "You shall add nothing to the wording of what I oblige you to do, and take away nothing from it; ye shall keep the commandments of the LORD [not the commandments of men], your God, to which I bind you."

Deuteronomy 13:1: "Ye shall keep and keep the complete wording of what I oblige you to do. Thou shalt not add anything or take anything away."

1 Corinthians 4:6: "Not beyond what is in of Scripture".

Galatians 1:8-10: "However, even if we ourselves or an angel from heaven preached to you a different gospel than the one we have announced that he is cursed9 What I have said, I say again, that whoever preaches unto you another gospel contrary to that which we have preached - let him be cursed"

Rev 22:18-20: "I testify to everyone who hears the prophetic words of this book: Whoever adds anything, God will inflict the plagues written in this book. Is. 19 And whosoever takes away anything from the prophetic words of this book, God will give him his share in the tree of life and in the Holy city, of which is written in this book. 20 He who testifies of these things says, Yes, I am coming soon. -Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!"

Mk 9:42: "But whoever is to blame for the fact that these little ones who believe in me [Jesus] lose this faith would be better off being thrown into the sea with a millstone around one's neck" (NLB).

How does the Holy Ghost lead?

In charismatic and Pentecostal churches, it is often claimed that the Bible is supposedly no longer up-to-date and therefore the pastors from God the visions and inspirations what is important for the present time and is still valid in the Bible. This is completely wrong, because only church leaders who destroy the Word of God and use it with their own want to replace new teachings. All Bible verses that do not suit them are therefore erased or reinterpreted and this is supposedly supposed to be done by the Holy Spirit? No, certainly not. Some even go so far as to remove all Paul's epistles from the Bible and call him a "misogynist and Jew-hater." Jesus said that the Holy Spirit put us in all Truth (John 16:12-13). This does not mean, however, that new unbiblical teachings can be defended with this Bible passage. In John 16:14 it becomes clear what truth is meant: "He will glorify me [Jesus, but not: Mary the Pope or Ellen White]." He should not glorify the Pope, Mary or other saints, even no priests, pastors of churches. A few words earlier, he spoke of the manner of leadership: "But the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I have told you" (Jn 14:26). This Spirit came at Pentecost, and the epistles of the New Testament are decades later. Yet there were no new revelations that contradicted the Bible and that God withheld. There is nothing here about new revelations, but it is about understanding the words of Jesus. It is the "spirit of truth" and not the "spirit of contradictions" or new teachings. Jesus promised shortly before his death:

John 14:24-26: "He who does not love me does not keep my words. And the word you hear is not from me, but from the Father who sent me. 25 The I said to you while I am still with you. 26 But the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father shall send in my name, shall teach you all things, and remind you of all that I [Jesus] have told you."

Jn 15:26: "But when the Comforter comes, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth that proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness to me."

Jn 16:12-15: "I still have many things to tell you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, He will guide you in all truth. For he will not speak of himself, but he will speak what he hears and tell you what is to come. 14 He will glorify me; for he will take of that which is mine, and declare it unto you. 15 All that the Father has is my; wherefore I have said, He takes of that which is mine, and will declare it unto you."

Lk 24,44-49: "Then he said to them, 'These are my words, which I spoke to you when I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled, which is in the law of Moses, is written about me in the prophets and in the Psalms. 45 Then he opened her mind to understanding the Writings46 He said unto them, Thus it is written: The Christ shall suffer, and shall rise from the dead on the third day,47 And in his name repentance shall be proclaimed unto all nations, that their sins may be forgiven. Starting in Jerusalem, 48 you are witnesses of this. 49 And behold, I will send down upon you the promise of my Father. But you remain in the city, until you are filled with power from on high!"

These Bible passages in John 16:13 misuse religious people to justify extra-biblical teachings. They quote certain teachers, seers with Visions or pastors feel spiritually further than others and think that God has revealed more and newer knowledge to them than to Christians who refer only to the Bible. Nevertheless this is a mistake:

  • Jesus did not say, "The Spirit will lead you into new doctrines," but "into all truth." What truth? The same verse says:
"But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you in all truth. For he will not speak out of himself, but he will Speak what he hears and tell you what is to come. 14 He will glorify me; for he will take of that which is mine, and declare it unto you" (Jn 16:13-14).
The Spirit of God should glorify Jesus and his teachings, but not other people, whether philosophers, pastors, seers, or esotericists. The Spirit of God should say what He says of Jesus will hear and proclaim this to us and not what people think. Jesus' disciples already knew what truth Jesus meant, for he said a few sentences earlier:
"The Holy Spirit... will teach you all things and remind you of all that I [Jesus] have told you" (Jn 14:26). "But if the If the Comforter comes, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, and he will bear witness to me" (Jn 15:26).
There is nothing here about new doctrines, but it is only about the words and testimony of Jesus and the memory of them. That is why the evangelists were able to understand the experiences with Jesus so accurately. because the Holy Spirit reminded them of everything Jesus said. All truth should be guided by the "spirit of truth" and not by the "spirit of contradictions." God and the apostles would not have left us ignorant of important teachings, modern philosophical, religious and esoteric teachings have nothing to do with the Word of God. Not the Holy Spirit, but the Spirit of Chaos (Satan) guides them.
  • Jesus spoke the words in John 16: 13 before the crucifixion, before his resurrection and even before the event of Pentecost (Acts 2). But a few days after his Death (about 2,000 years ago) the Holy Spirit came over to the disciples at Pentecost and led them into all truth even then. Then Peter stood up - and what did he begin to preach? He spoke He did not speak of new doctrines of men, which the Spirit had supposedly revealed unto him, but he interpreted the word of God unto them, saying: "Now it is done that which has been said by the prophet Joel: 17 In the last days it shall come to pass,
thus saith God: I am of my Spirit pour over all meat... 18 Also upon my servants and maids will I pour out of my Spirit in those days, and they will become prophetic. talk..." (Acts 2:16-18). He did not say that the Word of God is abolished by new teachings, but he quoted the Bible.
  • When God wrote the book of Revelation to John, he proclaimed none other than Jesus and the time that precedes his second coming. To this end, the Spirit should lead "and tell you what is to come" (John 16:13). Revelation is an aid to better understand the Old Testament writings. And even in This last book of the Bible, which deals almost exclusively with the future, makes no mention of new teachings that contradict the other biblical books. Not a single one Verse cancels out the word of Jesus. Since the completion of the Book of Revelation, the Word of God, with its 70 books written on 7x7=49 scrolls, complete and it contains all the important information that is important to us. This is "the Word of God." See also: The structure of the Bible.
  • No Other or New Teachings: The goal of the Spirit is not to confuse believers with new teachings from various churches and sects, but to confuse God so that many could see God's work. The Spirit led them to understand the Scriptures and to accomplish the deeds of Jesus. During this long time no new teachings have arisen that would contradict the Bible:
"And the word of God [not the word of seers or pastors] spread, and the number of disciples in Jerusalem. became bigger and bigger; also a great number of priests obediently accepted the faith" (Acts 6:7). The Spirit teaches us God's will and for this he opens the understanding of the Bible and reminds of everything. But it does not reveal new doctrines that replace the written Word of God or reinterpret it in a different direction. The Holy Ghost Turns a Resurrection Sabbath no Resurrection Sunday (see: the Day of Resurrection), just because Ellen White wants it that way.
  • There is spiritual chaos in Christendom today because the Word of God is not accepted as the sole source. Jesus warned, "Beware before false prophets; they come to you in sheep's clothes, but inside they are ravenous wolves" (Mt 7:15). Already at the time of the "early church" Paul warned of Bible-alien and false teachers, it is something quite normal, because who can bear the truth?:
"I know: After my departure, ravenous wolves will invade you and not spare the herd. 30 And even from your midst men will appear who draw the disciples to their side with their false speeches31 So be vigilant and remember that I for three years day and night have not ceased to admonish each individual in tears" (Acts 20:29-31).
We are to stick to the teachings of the Apostles: "Those who accepted his word were baptized. On that day, about three thousand people were welcomed to their community. added. 42 They adhered to the doctrine of the apostles..." (Acts 2:41-42).
Paul called himself "the teacher of the nations in faith and truth" (1 Timothy 2:7) and he kept to the truth! But what is the truth? Answer: "Your [God's] one word is truth" (John 17:17).
  • Paul referred to Scripture as the Word of God, and it was he who commanded the churches: "Not beyond what is written in Scripture" (1 Cor 4,6).
  • Paul did not accept new doctrines and rebuked the Corinthians for not opposing false teachings:
"You obviously accept it when anyone comes along and proclaims a different Jesus than we have proclaimed, when you receive a spirit other than ye or another gospel than you accepted" (2 Corinthians 11:4). To proclaim another Jesus is to spread other teachings, which Jesus never told the Bible.
  • Paul warns against human teachings and philosophers and against Christians who spread other teachings. We do not need new human lessons, we have the floor Jesus, which never changes and is still very contemporary today: He spoke very harsh words:
"However, even if we ourselves or an angel from heaven preached to you a different gospel than that which we have proclaimed - he be cursed. 9 What I have said, I say again, that whoever preaches unto you another gospel contrary to that which we have preached - be cursed" (Gal 1:8-10). Can it be clearer?
"Peter and the apostles answered, 'One must obey God more than men' (Acts 5:29).
We do not need new human teachings, we have the word of Jesus, which never changes and is still very contemporary today. Paul waits before Christians who teach other doctrines
"For these people are apostles of lies, dishonest workers; they disguise themselves, of course, as apostles of Christ. 14 No wonder, because the Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Your end will be correspond to their deeds" (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).
Either a doctrine is of God, then it is also biblical, or it is a heresy and thus of the world and the devil. John himself wrote:
"It is true for you that what you have heard from the beginning shall abide in you; if what you have heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will be in the Son and in the Father. stay. 25 And this is the promise which he promised us, eternal life. 26 These things I have told you about the which lead you astray27 As for you, the anointing which ye have received from him abides in you and you. need not be lectured by anyone; but as his anointing teaches you about all things, so it is true and not a lie. And as he hath taught you, ye abide in him" (1 John 2,24-27).
"For I want you to know what a difficult struggle I have to face for you and for the faithful in Laodicea, also for all the others who have never seen me face-to-face. have. 2 In this way they are to be comforted, united in love, in order to gain the deep and abundant insight and the mystery To know God, which is Christ3 In him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge4 I say this so that no one may deceive you by persuasion5 For though I am physically far from you, I am, but in spirit I am with you. I am pleased to see how firm and orderly your faith in Christ is. 6 So you have Christ Jesus as Lord adopted. Therefore, according to him, lead your way of life! 7 Remain rooted in him and founded upon him, strengthened by faith, in to whom you have been taught! Be full of gratitude! 8 Take care that no one with his philosophy and empty Caught deception, which are based only on human tradition and refer to the elemental powers of the world, not on Christ9 For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. 10 Through him ye also are filled with it; for he is the head of all powers and powers. 11 In him ye have received a circumcision which is not performed with hands, namely, circumcision, which Christ has given. Whoever receives them renounces his transient body. 12 With Christ you were buried in baptism, with him also resurrected by faith in the power of God who raised him from the dead. 13 You were dead because of your sins, and your flesh was uncircumcised; But God has made you alive together with Christ and forgiven us all our sins. 14 He has the promissory note which: I would like to ask the Commissioner whether he is aware of the fact that the Commission has not yet submitted a proposal for a directive on the protection of the environment in the Community. He blotted him out by pinning him to the cross. 15 He hath disarmed the princes and powers and put them on public display; through Christ, God triumphed over them. 16 Wherefore, let no one condemn you for food and drink, or for a feast, whether new moon or Sabbath. 17 All this is but a shadow of what But the reality is Christ. 18 Let no one deny you the price of struggle, which pleases itself in subservience and subservience. Veneration, which he shows to the angels, who, as an initiate, brags about visions [e.g. Ellen White] and for no reason I would like to ask the Commissioner whether he is prepared to accept the Commission's proposal. 19 He does not adhere to the head, from which the whole body is supplied and held together by joints and ligaments and grows through God's work. 20 If ye died with Christ to the elemental powers of the world, why do ye let yourselves be as if ye still living in the world, prescribing [human commandments:]: 21 Do not touch this, do not eat this, do not touch this! 22 All this is consumed and thereby destroyed. Human statutes and teachings are. 23 It is said that in them lies wisdom, it is voluntary piety and subservience not to spare the body. But this brings no honor, but only serves to satisfy earthly vanity." (Col 2:1-23).
  • Whoever wants to be present at the wedding of the Lamb must follow the teachings of the Lamb and his teachings from the Holy Scriptures, but not the teachings of men and women. thus of the devil. People who follow extra-biblical teachings are people who do not fully accept the Bible as God's Word (the Holy Scriptures) and still doubt it. Paul spoke of The books of the Bible when he said to Timothy,
"But let you stick to what you have learned and what you have convinced yourself of [the teachings of the Holy Scriptures]. You know from whom you learned it; 15 For thou knowest from childhood the scriptures, which can make thee wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 Every scripture, as inspired by God, is also useful for instruction, refutation, correction, education in righteousness17 so that the man of God may be equipped, equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:14-17).
There is a lot of literature that has the sole purpose of robbing us of time and distracting us from the teachings of the Bible. But there is only one book, "the scriptures [not the writings of the churches or Ellen White] that make you wise" (v.15).
  • Jesus is and remains the same, he does not change his mind, we can trust God that he has thought of everything and that he has given us a complete and timely Holy Scripture has been given. God does not introduce new foreign teachings that contradict the Word of God:
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. 9 Do not be misled by ambiguous and foreign teachings..." (Hebrews 13:8-9). One Angel said to John, "I am but a fellow servant like you and your brethren, the prophets, and like all who keep the words of this book... [not the words of other books by People]" (Revelation 22:9).
  • "Thus faith is founded in the message, but the message in the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17). A preaching that does not put the Word of God first is not in the mind of God. It directs to the teachings of man, thus of the devil (cf. also Acts 28:21 and Acts 26:22-23). Jesus himself said, "Yes, blessed are those who hear and obey the word of God [not the word of pastors and their churches]" (Luke 11:28).
  • "The words of the Lord [not the words of the pastors and their many churches] are louder Words, silver, melted in the oven, cleansed of slag sevenfold" (Psalm 12:7). God has carefully considered what should and should not be in the Word of God.

Satan is the author of all false teachings

Sacred Scripture, as the Catholic Church calls the Bible, leaves no doubt about the Word of God and the completeness of the divine revelation. But Satan, like many pastors, thinks that the Bible is not enough and that we need new revelations from people. who show us what is still valid in the Bible and what is not. Satan constantly sows doubt and asks:

"yes, should God have said that everything is in the Bible? No, you need other teachings, because the Bible has only humans written."

But God sees it quite differently: In the temptation of Jesus (Mt 4), Jesus always met the teachings of the devil with the Bible, never with human teachings and Said, "It is written." He didn't care what others thought, the word of Scripture was the standard for him. If there is no uniform guideline in teaching, then no one can know who speaks the truth and who doesn't. Those who reject the Bible and prefer to stick to other books will never be able to grasp God's will and will create Confusion. The result is strife and many churches and splinter groups, some of which do not want to talk to each other:

1 Timothy 6:3: "Anyone who teaches anything other than the good words of Jesus Christ our Lord and does not adhere to the doctrine on which our faith is based, 4 is blinded and ignorant. Such a person has an unhealthy tendency to quarrels and verbal battles, leading to envy, arguments, blasphemous speeches. and evil suspicions lead 5 and end in permanent quarrel. Such people have corrupt thinking and do not know the truth. For them, life with God is only a means of enriching oneself."

Likewise, those who do not stick to the words of Jesus generate endless discussions and follow the spirit of chaos and error. Those who do not rely on the Listening to the Bible, but also introducing human teachings that contradict the Bible, follow the spirit of error:

1 John 4:4-5: "But you belong to God, my children. You have already won your battle against these false prophets because the Spirit that lives in you is greater than the Spirit that rules the world. 5 Such people belong to this world; therefore they speak from the standpoint of the world, and the world ceases you6 We, on the other hand, belong to God [in Scripture]. Those who know God listen to us, and those who do not belong to God do not listen to us. By this we know whether a person has the spirit of truth or the spirit of error."

The Bible is the standard in judgment

The Bible is the standard in judgment and not the words of churches and sects. The word of Jesus, recorded in Scripture, stands above the word and teachings of the Pope, by Ellen White (Seventh-day Adventists), Charles Taze Russell (Jehovah's Witnesses), Herbert W. Armstrong (Church of God) and others. In judgment before God, every person will be judged according to how he lived the content of the 70 books of the Bible, because "your [God's] one word [the Holy Scriptures] is truth" (Jn 17:17).

Acts 3:22-23: "Moses said, 'The Lord your God will raise up a prophet like me from among your brethren.' You should listen to him in all that he says to you. 23 Everyone who hearkenth not to that prophet shall be exterminated from the people."

Jn 12:48: "Whoever despises me and does not accept my words already has his judge: the word I have spoken will judge him on the Last Day. 49 For I have not spoken of myself, but the Father who sent me hath commanded me what I should say and speak."

Rev 20:12: "I saw the dead standing before the throne, the great and the small. And books [the 70 books of the Bible] became Pitched; and another book, the Book of Life, was opened. The dead were judged according to what was written in the books were written down according to their deeds."

" However, even if we ourselves or an angel from heaven give you another Gospel proclaimed as that,

that we have proclaimed - he is cursed.

What I have said, I say again: whoever preaches to you another gospel in contradiction to what we proclaim. - he was cursed"
