In other words, THE THIRD DAY
in relation to the rapture
of the church!
John 2:1,2.
“And the THIRD DAY there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called and his disciples to the marriage.”
Have you ever wondered why the marriage in Cana took place on the THIRD DAY? Why not the second day or the fifth day? Why mention any particular day at all? Well, when one begins to look at all the Scriptures that have the phrase “THE THIRD DAY” a surprising pattern surfaces. There are a total of 53 passages of Scripture that refer to the third day. Now to me, this stood out as being significant so I began to study these third day Scriptures.
The Bible tells us that the things written in the Old Testament were shadows of things to come.
Look at Colossians 2:16.
“Let no man, therefore, judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days; which are a SHADOW of things to come: but the body is of Christ.”
We are also told that they are examples.
I Corinthians 10:6 says.
“Now these things were our EXAMPLES, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.”
Then we read in I Corinthians 10:11.
“Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world have come.”
Hebrews tells us that the things were written were to be figures of the true. Look at chapter nine and verse twenty-four in the book of Hebrews.
“For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are FIGURES of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:”
The things written in the Old Testament are shadows of things to come. They are our examples or patterns to follow. They are figures or in other words types of things to come. Many, if not all, of the things written in the Old Testament, have two fulfillments. The first fulfillment is the type, shadow or example of how the future fulfillment will transpire or take place. What I mean by this will become clearer as we read some of the third day Scriptures.
Let’s continue with John 2:1-11. I am not going to quote the entire passage here in this study but only pull out what the Holy Spirit has shown to me. Notice “the, who” that was invited or called to the wedding in verse number two.
John 2:2.
“And both Jesus was called and his disciples, to the marriage.”
Now compare this with several other Scriptures in the word of God that teach that we, the church, the body of Christ Jesus, are the BRIDE of Christ and on the day of his return there will be a marriage between the Lamb, which is Jesus and the bride, the church.
Revelation 19:7-9 tells us of the wedding or marriage of the Lamb.
“…for the marriage of the Lamb has come and his wife has made herself ready …Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb…”
Mark 2:18-20 tells us that Jesus is our bridegroom. Verse 20.
“But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.”
Matthew 25:1-13 tells us that one day there will be a calling to the marriage supper of the Lamb, and ONLY those who are watching and are READY shall go into the marriage of the Lamb. Verse 10.
“And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were READY went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.”
Now I propose to you that the marriage of the Lamb will be on the THIRD DAY.
The Bible teaches us that we shall be CHANGED in the twinkling of an eye. These mortal bodies in what we now live in will be changed to immortal bodies.
This is found in I Corinthians 15:38-58. Verse 51 and 52.
“Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (Die), but we all shall be CHANGED,
52. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be CHANGED.”
Now I want to draw your attention to A CHANGE that took place at the wedding in Cana. Jesus had the waterpots FILLED to the brim or in other words to overflowing. Then he had the water served to the guests. However, the water was CHANGED into the finest wine. Again I propose to you that our CHANGE will also take place on the THIRD DAY?
Let us continue looking at other Scriptures that refer to the THIRD DAY.
Luke 13: 31-33 tells us this.
“The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get you out, and depart from here; for Herod will kill you.
32. And he said unto them, Go you, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures TODAY and TOMORROW, and the THIRD DAY I shall be perfected.
33. Nevertheless, I must walk TODAY, and TOMORROW and THE DAY FOLLOWING: for it cannot be that a prophet perishes out of Jerusalem.”
We see in verse 34 that it is Jerusalem that kills the prophets. The day following was the third day and it was this day that Jesus was crucified. Hebrews 11:40 tells us that we shall be made PERFECT together, and we know that our change or being made perfect will occur at the second coming of Jesus.
There are many Scriptures that tell us that Jesus was raised from the dead on the THIRD DAY. Matthew 16:21, Mark 10:34, Luke 24:7, Acts 10:40, I Corinthians 15:4, and several other Scriptures clearly show that Jesus was raised on the THIRD DAY. But I propose to you that the dead in Christ shall ALSO take place on the THIRD DAY.
Take a look at Hosea 6:2 which says.
“After two days will he revive us: in the THIRD DAY he will RAISE US UP, and we shall LIVE in his sight.”
We know from Revelation 19:8 that we shall be clothed in white raiment on that great and notable day of the Lord when we shall be changed. In other words, we shall put on our royal apparel.
Revelation 19:8.
“And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.”
Take a look at Esther 5:1.
“Now it came to pass on the THIRD DAY, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.”
We are given a description of the second coming of Jesus in Revelation 1:7 which tells us this.
“Behold he comes with clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindred of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”
Now compare this with Exodus 19:10 which says.
“And the Lord said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them TODAY and TOMORROW, and let them wash their clothes. And BE READY against the THIRD DAY: for the THIRD DAY the Lord will come down in the SIGHT of ALL the PEOPLE upon mount Sinai”
I believe these Scriptures show us that the second coming of Jesus will be on the THIRD DAY. The Lord will come down from heaven in the sight of all the people and the dead in Christ will be raised, then we which are alive and ready at the time of his coming will be changed and go up to meet the Lord in the air.
I Thessalonians 4:13-18. Verses 16 and 17.
“For the Lord, himself shall DESCEND from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
We read in 1 Corinthians 3:9 that the church is referred to as God’s building.
“For we are laborers together with God: you are God’s husbandry, you are God’s BUILDING.”
And in verse 16 we are called the temple of God.
“Know you not that you are the TEMPLE of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”
Now, look at 2 Corinthians 5:1 which says.
“For we know that if our earthly HOUSE of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a HOUSE not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”
So, in other words, the church is God’s HOUSE.
With this in mind look at Ezra 6:15.
“And this HOUSE was finished on the THIRD DAY of the month of Adar which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.”
Will God’s house or the temple that is to say God’s church be complete or finished on the THIRD DAY?
At the time of the rapture of the church, those who are faithful believers along with the dead in Christ shall rise up to meet the Lord in the air. In other words, we will be caught up or GO UP to be with the Lord.
Now take a look at II Kings 20:5.
“Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father, I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears: behold, I will heal you: on the THIRD DAY you shall GO UP unto the house of the Lord.”
I propose to you that the church will GO UP in the rapture on the THIRD DAY.
In Genesis 22:4 we read.
“Then on the THIRD DAY, Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.”
Now compare this with Luke 21:28 where we read these words.
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then LOOK UP, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh.”
As you can plainly see there are many parallels with these THIRD DAY Scriptures and the coming of the Lord, the resurrection of the dead in Christ, our change, our going up or rapture. And it is my opinion there are far too many to just pass off as coincidence, so therefore I believe it is safe to conclude the second coming of Jesus will be on the THIRD DAY.
Now to fully understand and see the patterns set forth in the Old Testament of when this THIRD DAY will actually be we will need to study the feast days that were commanded of God for the children of Israel to keep. However, due to the length of the study, I have set it apart as a study of its own entitled, “THE FEAST DAYS OF THE LORD!”. In this study we shall explore the days and months of the year of the Jewish calendar and the significance of the feast days in relation to being types and shadows of things to come, that is to say, their future fulfillment.
Here is a drawing that I made to teach a Bible study on the end times at church. I could not find one anywhere on the Internet at the time so I improvised and made my own drawing. It is a drawing showing what the Bible itself teaches will take place and the ORDER that they will occur. In truth, there has been great tribulation pretty much all throughout the entire church age, but in the last 3 1/2 years there will again be Great tribulation in the Middle East such has never before. The Bible says that those in Judea and surrounding countries should FLEE to the mountains for safety. The word “mountain” is also used to speak of kingdoms, so this verse could mean for those in Israel and surrounding countries to FLEE to other more distant countries for refuge and safety when they see Jerusalem SURROUNDED by ARMIES.
To me, there is no doubt that these ARMIES will be MUSLIM armies seeking the wipe Israel off the face of the earth. Please read the study “ISLAM IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST!”. So when you SEE Jerusalem SURROUNDED by Muslim ARMIES then lookup for your redemption draws near. According to what I myself have come to understand this war against Jerusalem, when she is SURROUNDED by ARMIES, will last for 3 1/2 years, which in the time of GREAT TRIBULATION spoken of by Jesus in Matthew chapter 24 referring back to Daniel the prophet.
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem…
In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. John 14:2-3 ESV
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. Philippians 3:20-21 ESV
Come, my people, enter your chambers,
and shut your doors behind you;
hide yourselves for a little while
until the fury has passed by.
For behold, the Lord is coming out from his place
to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity,
and the earth will disclose the blood shed on it,
and will no more cover its slain. Isaiah 26:20-21 ESV
Blow the trumpet in Zion;
consecrate a fast;
call a solemn assembly;
gather the people.
Consecrate the congregation;
assemble the elders;
gather the children,
even nursing infants.
Let the bridegroom leave his room,
and the bride her chamber. Joel 2:15-17 ESV
“Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. Revelation 21:9-11 ESV
Our chambers are found in our Father’s house, in the heavenly Jerusalem, on the heavenly Mount Zion. We enter them at the rapture event to be hidden during the time of God’s wrath, and we leave them to come back with Him at the second coming (Revelation 19). It seems we may be able to come and go from our chambers in the holy city of New Jerusalem during the Millennial Kingdom.
Festal Gathering
…and to innumerable angels in festal gathering…
Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. Revelation 19:9 ESV
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. Ephesians 5:31-32 ESV
And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Matthew 25:10 ESV
Remember in Part 1 of our study, we noted that on the original Pentecost (Shavuot), the elders of Israel ascended Mount Sinai to eat a “covenant affirmation” meal with the LORD?
Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up, and they saw the God of Israel. There was under his feet as it were a pavement of sapphire stone, like the very heaven for clearness. And he did not lay his hand on the chief men of the people of Israel; they beheld God, and ate and drank. Exodus 24:9-11 ESV
Assembly of the Firstborn
…and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven…
Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him… 2 Thessalonians 2:1 ESV
Our assembly is described in the interlinear as Strong’s #3831:
panéguris: a festal assemblyOriginal Word: πανήγυρις, εως, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: panéguris
Phonetic Spelling: (pan-ay’-goo-ris)
Short Definition: a festival assembly
Definition: a festival assembly.HELPS Word-studies3831 panḗgyris (from 3956 /pás, “all” and 58 /agorá, “the public square, meeting place”) – properly, an assembly-place where people met for a common purpose, especially to celebrate (commemorate) or be festive (BAGD).

“Your heart must not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also.” John 14:1-3 NKJV
Note how Jesus will receive us unto Himself as you read the next passage.
Two men will be in the field; one will be taken [received] and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken [received] and the other left. Matthew 24:40-41; Mark 13:34-35 ESV
I acknowledge that there are differing interpretations of this passage. What I found interesting was that the word used, paralambanetai, is used elsewhere to represent “received” – as in, the ones taken will be received unto the Lamb. Our reception into heaven is when we are taken from the earth and assemble together before the Lamb. That we are enrolled in heaven means that we are in the Lamb’s book of life from the foundation of the world (Rev 17:8).
God, the Judge of All
…and to God, the judge of all…
I believe this is a reference to the Judgment Seat of Christ, where saints will receive or lose their rewards:
And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. Hebrews 9:27-28 ESV
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. (2 Corinthians 5:10 ESV)
Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; for it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. (Romans 14:10-12 ESV)
Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw—each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. (1 Corinthians 3:12-15 ESV)
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. (1 Corinthians 9:24-25 ESV)
Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. (2 Timothy 4:8 ESV)
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12 ESV) (Also Rev 2:10 Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. ESV)
And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. (1 Peter 5:4 ESV)
Look! I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me to repay each person according to what he has done. (Revelation 22:12 ESV)
I believe that the Day of Christ is the heavenly track while the Day of the Lord runs its course on earth. The Day of Christ is the redemption and rewarding of the saints, when the “age of grace” is complete and the true body of Christ is called up to join Jesus in glory. The Day of the Lord is the day of judgment for those who “refused to love the truth and so be saved” (2 Thessalonians 2:10).
Spirits of the Righteous Made Perfect
..and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect…
I believe this is related to our complete redemption through the blood of the Lamb.
Listen! I am telling you a mystery: We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. For this corruptible must be clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal must be clothed with immortality. When this corruptible is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal is clothed with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place:
Death has been swallowed up in victory.
Death, where is your victory?
Death, where is your sting?
1 Corinthians 15:51-55 ESV
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30 ESV
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:7-14 ESV
Jesus, the Mediator of a New Covenant
…and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant…
Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant. For where a will is involved, the death of the one who made it must be established. For a will takes effect only at death, since it is not in force as long as the one who made it is alive. Therefore not even the first covenant was inaugurated without blood. For when every commandment of the law had been declared by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, saying, “This is the blood of the covenant that God commanded for you.” And in the same way he sprinkled with the blood both the tent and all the vessels used in worship. Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. Thus it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf. Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own, for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. Hebrews 9:15-28 ESV
The Sprinkled Blood
…and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
The sprinkled blood refers back to the blood of the Lamb, Jesus, the mediator of the New Covenant. The blood of Abel refers to the purpose of the Day of the Lord, which is to cleanse the earth of its’ bloodguilt and wickedness and punish those who refused to love the truth and be saved (2 Thessalonians 2:12).
The Pentecost Connection
Ok, you are saying, I can see the rapture here, with our assembling together in heaven at the redemption of our bodies. But where does Pentecost fit in? For this we turn to the entire passage to ascertain context:
For you have not come to what may be touched, a blazing fire and darkness and gloom and a tempest and the sound of a trumpet and a voice whose words made the hearers beg that no further messages be spoken to them. For they could not endure the order that was given, “If even a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned.” Indeed, so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, “I tremble with fear.”
The passage starts out describing the giving of the Law to Moses on Mount Sinai on what day? PENTECOST. It continues with no interruption:
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
This is the rapture connection we have discussed above. And what follows? Keep going…
See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:18-29 ESV
Did you note the connection which confirms that the author is connecting the escaping at Mount Sinai and the escaping what is to come next? The author then describes a shaking of the heavens and the earth, to remove the powers from them in order to establish Jesus’ Kingdom that will never be shaken! We know that at the rapture there is an escape route, followed by a time of wrath on earth.
But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.
Luke 21:36
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. Revelation 6:6 KJV
The Barley and Wheat mentioned here is referring to two groups of bride of Christ. It does not mean that there will be two raptures, no, but there will be two transformation events.
Both barley and wheat look so alike, and you cannot really tell the difference. This is the reason why both of them are exactly the bride of Christ, just that one is transformed earlier than the other. Just that the early brides will have their extra reward for their faithfulness.
The barley matures faster than the wheat by harvest, therefore this is representing the barley brides will be transformed during the time of The First Call. Then the wheat brides will be transformed during the time of The Rapture, where both the Barley and Wheat will be taken up to Heaven for the Marriage Supper of The Lamb while the left behind people on the earth will experience hell on earth – The Great Tribulation; please see 7 Years of Tribulation page.
The barley brides are those who are spiritually ready for The Lord Jesus around the time of the First Time out of 3 Times of The 3 Paul’s Shipwrecks (see 3 Paul’s Shipwrecks page about this end times prophecy). The wheat brides are those who are spiritually ready after a period of time around/ within/ approximate 40 days (no one knows the day or hour) at the time of the Rapture, and they will be mostly be raised during the time of the scripturally based 3 Days of Worldwide Darkness, which will be explained in the page 6 Days of Darkness.
Events surrounding The First Call & The Rapture matching the scriptures:
- Israel shipwrecked (see 3 Paul’s Shipwrecks page)
- California earthquake (see 3 Paul’s Shipwrecks page)
- Barley brides’ transformation (see Behind 9-11 Attack)
- New York City earthquake (see 3 Paul’s Shipwrecks page)
- 3 Days of Partial Darkness (see 6 Days of Darkness)
- 3 Days of Cosmic Warning (see 6 Days of Darkness)
- Sixth Seal Global Quake & The First Call (see 6 Days of Darkness)
- 3 Days of Worldwide Darkness (see 6 Days of Darkness)
- God pauses time to run the 7 Days (see 6 Days of Darkness)
- 7 Days of barley brides’ Heaven training & feast (see 6 Days of Darkness)
- Great earthquake – threefold effect (see 3 Paul’s Shipwrecks page)
- ~40 Days of Barley Harvesting The Wheat (see 6 Days of Darkness)
- ~40 Days then wheat brides’ transformation (see 6 Days of Darkness)
- Rapture of all saints taken up to Heaven (see 6 Days of Darkness)
- Marriage Supper of The Lamb/ Great Tribulation (see 7 Years of Tribulation)
Briefly, Jesus had 3 hours of darkness representing 3 days of warning and 3 days of partial darkness. He had 3 days of burial representing 3 days of darkness and a great soul harvest worldwide. Jesus was taken up to Heaven in ascension after His 40 days of ministry echoes to the approximate 40 days of soul harvest. The training and feast is according to Exodus 24. The great earthquake is from Matthew 28, the sixth seal is according to Revelation 6 and Matthew 27, the first event of shipwrecks is according to many sources including Psalm 103.
The giving of the Law on Mount Sinai was a somber and dramatic occasion, ON PENTECOST, which the author of Hebrews ties together with a future festal gathering in heaven as an escape, followed by a shaking of the heavens and the earth. Could this be a clue that this gathering will also occur on a future PENTECOST, followed by a time of tribulation on earth?
Let’s examine the connection of Hebrews 12 to the Day of the Lord to see if we are o
